New xbox experience: The section of my stuff is better up than down of recent applications

Microsoft changing something in an update is what compelled the OP to post. lol It just wasn't, in his case, a change to make the experience better. I'd be interested to see what changes free up what kind of system resources. Because if not having gestures
speeds everything else up then yeah, I can see why it was dropped.

But more likely, gestures [and the context menu for snapping apps I mentioned] were just never built into the new experience because of time constraints. I suspect because they had to roll it out a specific scheduled time, that they announced. The new UI!
Instead of y'know, building the thing as close to completion as possible, then announcing it, and then rolling it out to consumers.

If I can access my achievements faster on 360 than I can on Xbox One, for me, that's not a step forward. If the NXOE makes snapping stuff slower than the previous UI - without Kinect - again, not exactly forward progress... heh ha.

S'not a huge deal for me, because I ignore a lot of the dashboard experience and just fire up recently closed games, or hit right trigger and pick a pin. But if existing features can't be jammed into a "new experience", before a certain, announced date that
click-bait sites and national papers can advertise...

... then maybe in future don't announce dates or roll out previews until you've got the new experience [which to me should mean existing features + more features] done and dusted, and worthy of the title 'upgrade/update'. {=)

Down-date... up-down-grade. Update + throwing stuff overboard. Or sumthin' tss tss.

You may have better luck posting in this section. Those guys know a lot more about this stuff than I do.

Still offers a better racing experience than most of the recent "Forza" offerings and as such is currently the best racing game on the XBox ONE.

Let's keep some perspective here. As mentioned above the Developers have acknowledged there's some stuff that needs patching and that some people are having a bit of trouble.

So we'll qualify it as being the best racing game on the XBox ONE when it's working properly.
