new xbox crashes games

Following, my save data was deleted also and the game keeps crashing when I also try restarting a new game. I found out that on my other Xbox account the game does not crash when I start a new game however. My Xbox was not linked to Larian either.

that can help sort this out for you. Before going through the troubleshooting steps mentioned on the link I was referring to, I would like you to go through the following steps to clear your Mac address and perform a quick power cycle:

Settings > Network Settings > Advanced Settings > Alternate Mac Address > Clear it and the console should restart. It would definitely help if you could restart the internet router while the console is restarting.

After going through the troubleshooting steps mentioned, I invite you to perform a quick power cycle by turning off the console and then unplugging all the cables. After 2 to 3 minutes, re-plug them back again, then restart your
console.

Another thing you should check is your NAT type. I would like you to check your NAT type if open because that could sometimes interfere. to check for the NAT type you can follow the steps below:

Settings > Network Settings > NAT type => It should be open.

If the NAT type is not open, you will need to open some ports with your internet provider. These ports must be open for Xbox Live to work: Port 88 (UDP) Port 3074 (UDP and TCP) Port 53 (UDP and TCP) Port 80 (TCP) Port 500 (UDP) Port 3544 (UDP) Port 4500
(UDP).

In case the issue still persists, the next step would be to perform a reset on the console. To do so you will need to follow the steps below to perform a reset on the Xbox :

Settings > System > Console Info > Reset This Xbox > Reset and Keep my Games and Apps.

How exactly is it "crashing"?

Do you get an error message? Or is the screen black when you start the console? Are you able to start a game which then crashes to the Home Screen? Or does the game crash the console so it's restarting?

Please describe your issue in a bit more details. Only then we can try to help you.

Try loading your game then make a new save then delete your old one. If you have fallout 4 installed to an external hard drive try moving it to internal. Or the worst thing you can try is starting a new game. For me it seems like if you start a new
game on any fallout or elder scrolls titles and the game crashes a lot. Once I start a brand new game it dosen't seem to crash anymore. My first character on fallout 4 had tons of crashing during gameplay. I could play for five seconds and the game would
crash. Finally I gave up and made a new character and it hasn't crashed yet. I use fast travels and every weapon and I have mods but they aren't enabled. Game crashing has always been a problem with bethesda games all the way back with morrowind on xbox.
Its just apart of the bethesda gaming experience. I've gotten used to it over the years lol. I make sure all auto save options are turned on. Save on rest, save on fast travel and save every five minutes.
