New Xbox controller sound issues?

Does of has anyone else have sound issues with there brand new style Xbox controller?

When I plug my headset in. The sound is very low coming out of my headphones.

I have tried 3 different headsets. And it’s like at least 40% less volume than the older headset that I still have.

I have returned two controllers so far.

This is my third and this is quieter than the last one again.

The headsets I am using aren’t top of the range. But it doesn’t explain to me why the older controller has good sound. But when i use the brand new one it’s hardly any sound?

I have asked Microsoft is there a newer style of headsets that you need for this style of controller, I had no reply.

Any advice? Anyone else notice the same reduction in sound?

Before it takes me a year to be able to get through to the Microsoft team.

Anybody no any short cuts to get to them quicker? As when you try it all online I don’t seem to be able to contact them regarding a controller issue. It tells me that I can’t ask that question ?

Have you tried setting the volume up?

Press the Xbox button

At the bottom of the guide you will see 5 buttons

Press A on the speaker one

You will see the volume option, also a chat mixer option

Omg what a simple fix. How did none of the many advisor not know this. This has taken me hours to contact them. Contacting them is very bad and not a great Experience.

Wish I come to the community board first. You would of thought they would of told me this after 3 times ?

So when you get a new controller do you have to set up the volume for each one? As I didn’t understand why the old one was loud. And increasing the sound has made it the new one at the same level as the older one. But turning that up I am confused why the sound hasn’t come out louder in the older one? Therefore I assume each new controller you get you have to do this to ?

I hope that makes sense and I’m confused lol.

Sounds like it's the controller causing the issue not the xbox. Buy a new controller or before buying a new one, try a different controller and see if the problem is still happening

If the mapping of the controller shows the button permanently pressed in Xbox Accessories then it sounds broken or at fault.

If you have disassembled the controller that will unfortunately void the warranty for a possible replacement.

Is it a new generation controller that you are having the issues with?

It sounds like there might be an issue between the pcb and the wiring. I'd just buy a new controller.
