New Xbox Console, Loud Noise Installing

Hello,

I just got a new Xbox One. After setting it up, downloading the updates, and going through the welcoming process, I decided to start installing my games. As soon as I put the first disc in, a terrible noise started to come from my Xbox. This worried me, so
I took it out and tried another one of my new games. To my surprise it did the same thing. After spending so much on the console, I am quite aggravated at this predicament. The thing is, the Xbox is quiet until the disc goes in. If someone could help me out,
I would be grateful.

My xbox one makes a loud noise while installing games. Its only makes the noise then. Not at any other time. Is this normal?

 

Ouch. I am sorry to hear that. Yeah... that is obviously a problem that would need repair services... I know it must be frustrating and I am sorry but I dont believe any trick or troubleshooting is available for that sort of problem. That sounds like a straight-up
disc drive hardware issue. I would definitely go to support and file for a repair service :

Create Xbox Console or Kinect Service Order | Xbox Repair

You are going to need to Register the xbox and if it's still under warranty, which it should be if you just bought it, then you can request repairs.

As you have just purchased the console I would say take it back to the retailer you purchased it from and ask them to replace as it will probably be quicker than waiting for the console to be repaired.
