New Xbox chatpad

Game audio isn't playing through the chatpad when I switch back to the regular adapter thing it works fine just not with the chatpad it plays chat audio fine just no game audio

Hi there,

I have this device and try this.

Plug in the chatpad as well as the headset you're using.

Do the update for the controller AND WAIT...it should also later show the chatpad and it will do another update.

If you have a 3.5m controller, this can be done wireless but then restart the console via a hard reset (hold down the xbox logo on the console unttil it cuts off)

now turn the console back on with the controller while everything is plugged in (chatpad, headset) and do the controller update again.

Comment back if this doesn't fix the issue

What headset are you using?

The headset that comes the chat pad is chat only but as written I gather that you're using another headset type.

 

Turtle beaches X32s I like what the chatpad does but might have to get rid of it not being able to hear game audio totally kills my immersion

Turtle beach X32's arent suppose to work that way with the Xbox one so when you plug it in, it only giving you chat because that's how it's designed.

That's not the case they now do work that way with the one they were working with the chat adapter before hand they just don't work with the chatpad it was an update a while back

 

O K, I'm just sharing based on the manufacturers site info.

I don' t have that headset. I do have issues with the chat pad as far as chat but I don't have any issues with sound while using any of four different headsets. Xbox Stereo Headset, the chat headset that came with it, and two off brands.

Usually the only problem is that the chat-pad glows as muted chat and even the xbox one Guide shows muted but in the game (Elder Scrolls Online) its not muted regardless of either compatible chat headsets.

Perhaps a future update will address this as a public update went out this week.

 

I am getting the same problem with a different headset and the headset that came with the chatpad

 

Buy all. I too am now having issues with the chat pad.

Just keep plugging it in and unplugging the cable of the headset in and out of the chat pad until it works.

Repeat as needed. (I think this is another Xbox issue to add to the mega list
