    Removing and Xbox Live account from a Microsoft Account

    Hi

    I already have an Xbox live account that is registered to a Microsoft account but I wanted to change the Microsoft account that it is registered to.

    I set up a new Microsoft account but somehow this has now been attached to a new Xbox Live account so I now cannot register it to my old Xbox Live account.

    How can I remove the new Xbox Live account from my new Microsoft account so I can register it to my old Xbox live account?

    Can you sign in Xbox live with a different E-mail account?

    So, I have already an Xbox Live user and my E-mail account I used to sign in Xbox Live is about to close. Can I use a different E-mail account to sign in Live with the same user?

    It's important, because I have all my achievements/ plus friends in this user and I cannot try it out, because I have not created another E-mail account, yet.

    Sure can. By pressing the middle button on the controller you can create a new account on the new XBOX. Or you can go here
    www.xbox.com/.../Live and sign up for your other son. It will require another gold subscription though.

    As additional information

    there can only be one xbox live account connected to an email address, so to create a different xbox live account you will need to use a different email address.

    Also be aware that a gold subscription is per account and is needed for online game play.

    Hello,

    The reason your getting a randomly generated profile is because your logging in with the wrong e-mail/password to access your profile on Xbox.com

    If you do not know the e-mail that's connected to your gamertag then please
    contact phone support    .

    As far as not being able to remove your parental controls, that's because when you made the account you were under the age of 18, and were considered a minor at the time. You will need to agree to the terms of use this one last time on the console since you
    don't have the e-mail for your own gamertag to login on Xbox.com, it will tell you what e-mail it needs you to enter the password for.

    You will need to first reset the parental e-mail and password by following the directions
    here. If that does not work for you, try to fill out the Microsoft Account recovery form
    here.

    If neither solution works for you, then you will need to reach out to the Microsoft Account team
    here.

    Once you are in your account and have agreed to the new terms, please follow the instructions
    here to promote your account from a child to an adult. This will remove parental controls and the e-mail will never have to be used
    again to login to anything further.

    Hello, if you have an existing gamertag already associated with a Windows Live ID you'll need to use that e-mail and password to recover the XBOX Live account. You shouldn't have to make a new gamertag at all, if you already have one the only way to get
    that specific one you're trying to get on the console back is by using the e-mail/password associated with that specific gamertag. Each Windows Live ID can only be associated with one XBOX Live account. If you are trying to recover an account you should be
    using Account Recovery not signing up for XBOX Live again. It's the regular XBOX Live process to give you a new gamertag when you signup with a new e-mail address not already associated with an XBOX Live account. That randomly generated gamertag can be changed
    once it's made one time for free.
