    why cant i change profile picture?

    The easiest way for me to change my gamerpic is through the xbox app. You can change from your profile there. Sometimes it takes a little bit for it to change.

    The custom gamerpic feature is currently not available on the new Xbox app. Currently, the only way to change to a custom gamerpic, is using the Xbox One console.

    Download the Xbox app, then launch it, select your gamerpic in the top right corner of the app, and select view profile, then select your gamerpic from your profile, and then you can change your gamerpic on there. Bear in mind, custom gamerpics are not
    supported on the app at this time. Only the Xbox One console currently supports custom gamerpics.

    When does the xbox one x get the avatar editor update?

    Have you put the app on the S to see if that is enrolled. If none are showing on your profile on the X, means you aren't in the Insider Preview and you will not get any insider updates. Are you 100% sure that avatar beta is installed on the S? My gamerpic
    on here is from the avatar beta, not the best way to view my avatar
