New Xbox Avatar app

So i noticed this morning that the new “avatar” app was launched on the xbox one dashboard.

With that said, where are all of my previous avatar items? Are they moving away from them, am I alone in this problem?

I had things like the Xbox Loves You shirt and the Chocobo prop. Even the Xbox Adidas track suit. I had a lot of cool things that players can no longer obtain that made mt avatar unique but now they’re all gone.

Any help would be appreciated.

Changing to original avatar

I'd be happy to provide some input!

I believe the new update separated the new Xbox Avatar Editor App and there is also the Xbox Original Avatar App where you can edit your original avatar and select it to use from there.

Go into the Original Avatar App and see if you can set your original avatar to display from there.

 

Xbox Insider Program Avatar Quest

I'm a member of the Delta Preview of Xbox Insiders. I went in the app earlier today and found a quest to create a new Avatar using the Xbox Avatar Editor. In step 1 of the quest it asks that you go to the Xbox Avatar Editor app in the "My Games and Apps"
section, however when I go to that section the app is not there. I've searched the store and only found the old Avatar app. I'm not sure how to complete the quest without the new Avatar app which I'm pretty sure it is wanting me to use. Where can I get the
new Avatar Editor?

 

Sorry you're upset. However, the items you purchased for your avatar are still available on the old avatar system. They will always be linked to your account via that one.

However, the purchased items are not rolling over to the new avatar.

 

It looks like you wont be able to bring items to the new avatars. Im sorry its not ideal but i do like the new look.

 

They are trying to see if they can bring the old avatar gear back to new avatars but they have some set backs with licensing issues for some stuff

The Xbox had a new update that allows users to also "Update their Avatar! The new avatar does have its own store for new items and props as well. (Made specifically for the new avatar)

Should you feel you want to use the Older items that ware purchased, you will have to download

Xbox Original Avatars and use the original avatar. Check out
Where’s my old avatar stuff?
