New xbox 360 update not wanting to process

Hi everyone today i was greeted by a new xbox 360 update! hurra! unfortunately i get to the last 3/4 of the loading bar and it stops saying this:

Cant process the update, If the problem persists go to xbox support. This is then followed by a error code saying : 416B-4174-1380-0700-C000-000E

any ideas pls?

Update failure

Hi, whenever my Xbox 360 tries to download the new update it always says "Can't process the update" I type in this status code 42FE - 43C5 - 1380 - C000 - 0185 nothing shows up, I can connect to Xbox live fine but it always says cant process the update help.

According to the support page below, your xbox can't download the xbox. Possibly a connection error.

How to Fix:

The update could not be downloaded from Xbox Live. Try the following:

Try installing the update again.

If you’re having problems connecting or staying connected to Xbox Live, see Xbox Live connection problems.

Note You can also update your console software by copying the update to a USB flash drive or a disc and then applying it to the console.

Could you post up your console's current dashboard version.

Go to Settings and select Console Settings. Select System Info. Look at the bottom of that page where it shows "D:" followed by the version numbers (e.g. D: 2.0.16747.0).

You don't, and foremost, shouldn't, do anything with your console, except to send your console in for a repair.

 

thanks everyone, i have found the error thanks to sonic. Recently my disk drive was busted so i unplugget it for repairs. As soon as i reconnected the faulty diskdrive i worked! brilliant. Thanks again for everyones help

Terms Of Use.

 

To be fair. This may be a problem I'm having to. I recently did something similar. But surely it'd come up with an error code concerning the above, and which disc drive? Hard disc?

 

How will i get console banned? i just needed to buy a new disk drive thats all

 

i Havnt even thought about getting a new diskdrive all i wanted to do was fix it tho :/

 

Right i need to get this straight before anyone takes action against me, firsty i would like to say that i have not bought any new disk drives yet and i have not replaced any items from the diskdrive yet. So basically my xbox has not been modified in any
way. How is this against terms and conditions ??

 

If you only refer to replace your old, and or failing hard drive (HDD), as the solution, then you're not breaking any Terms of Use.
