New XBox 1 Scorpio Shipped With Defective Controller

Brand new XBox Scorpio was shipped with a defective controller (Dpad right button is shorted).

The unit is out of stock at place of purchase.

Not only due I have to pay shipping for a brand new product that is defective and never been used, but

Microsoft is going to ship me a reconditioned controller.

The gamepad is not working the button "up"

I am not rich to buy a new controller and I did not use them, it was purchased is already defective. This controller was bundled with the xbox one

Will the new Xbox X be delivered on the day of the release?

I've pre-purchased the new Xbox X Scorpio on the Microsoft Store.

My question is: Will the new Xbox X be delivered on the day of the release? Or it will be shipped on that date and arrive a few days later?

warranty terms (section 13) state that any replaced devices will be "new or refurbished goods of the same functionality", so everything is going normally.

Reconditioned/refurbished products are still good, since they are actually tested before they are sent out, and would typically be in like new condition anyway (especially if they come from the original manufacturer, at least as
my own experience goes).

Sounds like your xbox came with a defective control...my guess is it got banged up during shipping....I would try to get a new one but customer support is pretty bad right now with everyone calling.

If its for an accessory, no shipping label will be available for those items. You have to pay for your own shipping for accessories

Thats not true, well at least not here in the UK, Ive received a shipping label for my Scorpio controller

MS should have resolved his problem much faster and it's not right that he had to pay return shipping on a defective controller. and no, u won't get a replacement day one controller.
