    Good day:

    I have the long task of setting up this thing for my kid for Christmas day (what kid wants to wait hours for installs?).

    Anyway, installs and such are straight forward but the issue I'm having (and one I've spoken with XBox support with once already) is getting my XB1 to recognize my Live Gold membership. On Cyber Monday, I started my monthly billing for XB Live Gold by adding
    my CR card on-line, first month free. It showed on the console and I installed the two Free Games with gold (Worms and Volgar). Great. Then I bought Titanfall on Deals with Gold. No problemo so far. Began installing that Titanfall bundle. Also part of
    Cyber Monday deals was NHL 15, I tried to buy that both through a PC browser and through the console but it wasn't showing the sale price when I tried to complete the purchase on the web and on the console it doesn't show my Gold membership anymore.

    XBox One support has confirmed my active account status for XB Live Gold, yet my console simply is not showing it as such, it keeps prompting me to buy one (prompt for $9.99 one month, 59.99 one year). ACK!

    Also, when logged in through a PC browser, viewing account history/transactions doesn't show on the "My Account" page. I must visit commerce.xbox.com and that's where I see my purchase(s).

    My question to the community is this: Has anyone else run into a similar situation? XBox telephone support does not seem to have a solution for me. They actually are sending me here (they sent me to the forums Monday to try to get the NHL 15 purchase
    worked out; however, that ship has already sailed as I no longer can get that game on sale).

    I have a question that I cant find the answer to

    I bought a friend of mine an Xbox One for his family as a Christmas gift. Im expecting to be able to play online with him tomorrow. My question is, will he get a free one month Live Gold membership when he signs up? I know that this was the case with the
    XB360, but I don't have a clue about the XB1.

    Xbox Live Gold membership

    I have redeemed a 3 month Gold membership subscription code purchased as a Christmas Gift. Does the membership only apply to the account against which it has been redeemed. I have 2 children within my 'Family Group' account - can they access my Gold membership
    or does each child need their own membership.

    I spoke again with Xbox support and Dan was most helpful. He had me try deleting my account from the Xbox and adding it again. no joy. Next he got me a 30-day gold live code after confirming my account has gold live on it already and my CR card is all
    good etc.

    Rebooted the xbox and vavoom. Back in business. Thanks Dan.

    Too bad I didn't get to speak with Dan on Cyber Monday, they would have gotten more of my money (was trying to buy NHL15 on sale). Perhaps it will come up again.

    The same thing happens to me as well, and I have no cable box running through the XB1. My XB1 connects to my Pioneer VSX-1123 receiver. I currently only have two speakers connected, so I set the Xbox audio settings to Stereo, but almost every time I turn
    my XB1 it reverts to 7.1 uncompressed. On rare occasions it does seem to save the settings, but only when the Kinect recognizes me and logs me in immediately. If it doesn't immediately sign me in, then it's always reverted to 7.1 (and subsequently signing
    in does not set the settings to Stereo).
