New Xb1 experience issues

Hi. So I force updated my console through settings>check for updates to the new XB1 experience however I'm having a few issues. The kinect voice commands still work fine but when I try to use my kinect to physically navigate the dashboard it doesn't work
i.e I'm not seeing the hand pointer appear. I find it more time consuming and difficult to snap/unsnap and resnap apps with the new sidebar mechanics compared to how it worked previously with the snap star. What I'm saying is that I thought the snap star was
a good idea and it worked well. I also don't see why the friend section has been taken out to be replaced with something with less detail, I know you can still see all of the info you had previously but you have to access it through the side bar it would be
nice if both roots to your friends remained to make navigating all the more easier for everyone.

The Xbox One Has Been A Disappointment So Far

I have no issues. The XB1 is amazing. However, everyone's experience is different. To each their own. My install and download speeds are fine. On average about 10 minutes. Sorry to hear about your experience.

With that being said, the UI and home screen is jumbled. But they are working on that.

 

Issues after new Xbox experience update

Hey mate,

It might sound really simple, but have you tried giving your console a hard boot?

To do this, you just need to have the console on, then hold the power button down for 10seconds until it switches off. Then leave it for a minute of two before turning it on again, and trying again

Kinect gestures were removed from the UI as it was a feature which was not used by many. It can be implemented in the future but I would recommend going to the
Xbox Ideas, powered by UserVoice page and adding a request or voting on a request if it has been created already. I recommend the same for any feature you wish to be added or would like returned.

You can still snap using the double tap on the xbox button or using voice commands.

 

It's a little disappointing because before what made the console good were all the little touches and now they're withdrawing them for example you can no longer have more than one picture on your showcase. To me the update seems a step backwards and great
innovative ideas have been lost.
