New X1 exclusive...The waiting game.

Ryse is a good looking game do i think its the best next gen game no, after playing Tomb Raider i would say it is the best looking next gen game so far, seriously made me go holy cow same with my room mate when he saw it.

 

go to google.... type in Best looking next gen game... let me know what the top 20 pages say... I am sure you can figure it out from there....

 

It's tomb raider or killzone I'm afraid mate, ryse is pretty and by a long way the best looking xbox game ever

 

What is the point in waiting? Pay 500 today or pay 500 next year. The only difference is you get the new console today instead of a year from now.

There is more to visuals and graphics than 1080p vs 720p. Games on xbox one look way better than on 360.....and don't forget this is the beginning of the consoles life cycle. Devs need time with the systems. Go compare GTAV with one of the 360s first
releases.

Why would you pay $60 for an inferior 360 version of a game if you can pay the same price for a better version on the xbox one? If you plan on purchasing the one at any point, it doesn't make sense.

Go out and support the console you plan on playing for the next 5+ years. The more you spend, the more they want to make new products.

What do people expect out of a $500 machine anyways? Would you expect to be blown away by a $500 laptop? Sony and Microsoft are both offering great deals on their next gen consoles. Pick one and dive in my friend. Be a part of the growing process.

I typed in exactly what you said. Ryse, Killzone, The Order 1886, BF4 all featured in the top 20 pages. The 2nd page says The Order is the best looking next-gen game ever. Having seen the new videos, I'd have to agree.

But we were talking about launch titles. Some would say Ryse, some would say BF4. I would say Killzone.

 

Visual fidelity =/= graphical resolution.

Framerate, design, and so many other factors come into play. If you can't see that a 720p Xbox 360 is not even close to the same graphically as a 720p Xbox One game, then you can't be convinced otherwise until you see these games for yourself. Ryse is 900p.
BF4 is 720p, but are far better graphically than 1080p Xbox 360 titles.

 

I've also read on many sites and many youtube videos that Killzone is the best looking next gen game.

So, yeah....let's not act like it means anything....googling such things mean diddly squat.

 

Just did that google search....out of the 5 specific "Ryse is best" links....3 were from regular joe forum goer from like Gamespot and IGN.

 

Wow! Resolution = Graphics now? Come on people.

 

X1 won't be $500 next year. ***, it won't be $500 by E3. Sony will have a 5 million unit lead by the end of this month.

I know you guys don't care about consoles sold but MS does. I don't care how much they invested into the Kinect, it's a flop. They certainly had a vision but not all visions come true.

They will be forced to cut their loses.

 

Of course @lloydy thinks the order is the best looking so far. It's part of the mantra. @old man it's very far from a flop and I couldn't imagine X1 without it IMO

 

The PS4 is already getting a price drop in the UK of $20. Even though it's not a lot....$20 is $20.

So I would guess the X1 would follow suit rather soon....who knows...these things could be half the price in 2 years....WHOOOOHOOO!!!

 

Some people really have been blinded by the resolution numbers. To say the Xbox one is weaker console than the 360 is a ridiculous statement. Games are where they are now in terms of resolution for a long time to come, the extra processing power etc will
be used to improve physics, textures, AI and all the other bells and whistles you can think of.

 

The future of gaming is not just about graphics and resolution, whilst they will always play a part, it's not the only or the most important benchmark. Games that are able to tap into your senses and create immersion are what I want to see, this is achieved
through the finer details, response, sound, increased peripheral vision and other techniques. The gigantic leap forward will come in some form of new tech that will see soon, illumiroom and oculus rift are two technologies I'd like to see in the future. Comparisons
between the same game running on current tech upscaled and native at 1080p are trivial, that difference does not add ANY extra immersion to the experience.
