New Wireless Headset Randomly Shutting Off

Just as the title says, I just bought the new official wireless headset earlier this week and 5 times now (twice tonight already) it has just randomly shut off (no shut down chime, just goes totally dead). Hitting the power button turns it right back on, but this shouldn't even be happening.

In the accessory app, battery is showing medium charge, so that shouldn't be the problem. I am also about 8 feet away from my Series X console, so being out of range isn't an issue either.

Any ideas? This is severely disappointing, speaking as a long time xbox supporter. After problematic controllers, I hope this isn't the new trend of horrible quality accessories.

Same issue. A fully charged headset paired to an Xbox One shut off after about 2 hours of game play. Mine did chime before it shut down. And it did start back up when I pressed the power button. I forgot to check power remaining.

Well, bad news. It stopped holding a charge altogether and wouldn't even stay turned on for more than a few seconds. I tried keeping it plugged in, but would only turn on for a few seconds and shut right off. I left it to charge all night and still no change.

It's on its way back to Microsoft for a warranty whatever as I type this. After several defective controllers the past couple of years, this is definitely a bad look to me.

I'm randomly getting similar issues with my Titanfall Controller randomly shutting off after the controller update and I can hear sound out of my new Xbox stereo headset with the headset adapter but nobody can hear me until I restart my Xbox

Any other suggestions, it just seems to randomly freeze up and shut down. Doesn’t even turn off controller or headset just hard crashes.

Hi

Many wireless headsets are like that. They cut off randomly. I would prefer you using a wired headset. I have a wired headset that costed me $5 and it works perfectly never getting that problem.
