    New Win 10 app cloud play and controller issue in WMR


    The new Xbox app for PC that gives cloud and remote play works very well. Except in WMR. I can use it with Virtual Desktop on a Quest 2 with the controller connected to the Quest 2 or PC, but cannot use the controller in WMR with it connected to the PC. I can use the controller in WMR with the Xbox Streaming Test app in WMR. The PC app shows it as connected, but it does not control anything. It does work on the PC directly. I have to use the WMR controllers to leave the app or game. The WMR controllers work for starting a game, but not for playing. XBox controller does nothing except show as connected. Using an Xbox controller connected via Bluetooth. Windows 10 21H1 latest August update. App version is 2108.1001.8.0. I also had a heck of a time trying to figure out how to submit a bug on PC, ended up using Feedback.

    Anyone else try this?

    Of course. Why not.

    The Xbox app Game Pass App is going to come pre-installed on Windows 11, and Microsft want users to connect their controllers trouble free to the new OS.

    The biggest issue would be to check if your PC is compatible for Windows 11, not your controllers.

    In any event, Win 11 won't suddenly make Win 10 obsolete.

    Thanks for the fast reply but this did not help me with my problem. except from the xbox beta app i have no problems playing games with my wireless xbox 360 controller on my win 10 pc. i would consider buying an xbox one controller if that would solve
    the problem. does the xbox beta app (game pass for win 10) support the xbox 360 controller normally?

    Is there a way to delete cloud save data with no Internet connection to the Xbox?

    So if the cloud saves exist on the Internet and are connected to my "gamertag" why can I not do this from the Xbox app or a Win 10/11 computer on a different device and save my data I use to play the thing?

    Hi,

    if you like VR, I suggest to give WMR a try. There are many good Games with Live and Achievements in the Store. Even most of Steam VR works with WMR, like Beat Saber :)

    WMR= Windows Mixed Reality

    The Headset are meanwhile quite cheap.
