New Version of Minecraft: Not Free

I received the offer to upgrade up to the new version of Minecraft after 5 hours of gameplay. After spending most of my day completing the five hours, the game is still not free. I spoke with Xbox support and they directed me here to receive help. Please
help me out here.

Minecraft: Better Together for free

Hello. I need a help.

I bought a disc: Minecraft: Xbox One edition in somewhere around 25-28th of January.

In game i saw a message, that new Minecraft edition (Better Together/Bedrock Edition) is free for owners of Minecraft: Xbox One Edition. In my situation - i needed to play for 5 hours in Minecraft: Xbox One edition. I played that time in 25-29 of January.
But new Minecraft edition was still not free for me. It says that offer ended in 30th of January. So - i didn't take new version of Minecraft for free because of this bug. So why is that happened? Help me please. I want that version so much!

Hey there Phabio,

Thank you for reaching out to the Forums with this question. The new Version of Minecraft was offered for free for a period of time when it was first released. It had some requirements to receive the game for free but at this point you would need to complete
a purchase for the new version of the game.

The free update is for the better together version of minecraft, which is only free for digital copy owners of the game. owners of the disk copy of Minecraft Xbox One edition will now have to pay for the new version. More info on the minecraft website

Unfortunately, the free period of upgrading the license has expired as of November 2019. To obtain a new license, a new version of the game will have to be purchased since the original Xbox One version of Minecraft is no longer supported by Mojang.

Hi there,

just to be sure are you using the 'correct' version of Minecraft on the Switch, since there seem to be two versions. the 'older' Minecraft for Switch version and the 'new' Minecraft. Owners of the older version should be able to download the newer version
for free.

If you have the new version, have you tried the exact steps mentioned at
