New Vegas cloud save error

I also started up fallout new vegas and all my saves are still gone. It says my cloud saved games are empty

When you save to the Cloud it creates a local save which then synchronises up to the Cloud at various periods to keep them in-sync. On the Xbox 360 I believe this is a background task that happens after you have finished playing a game online.

It can take some time for it to complete the upload process and if your console is completely turned off before it finishes, it won't have completed and re-start it next time it turns on.

You may need to give it some more time to complete the upload before signing in on the other console to continue play.

you need to delete the data before you save new data.

But every time I delete my old local save and open a new game offline, and then choose to use the new local save to overwrite the cloud save when I enter the online game, a lot of files will be automatically downloaded from the cloud, and an error will be
reported in the game.

Cloud is free, but what I hate is that there is a time consuming upload process each time I try to copy a save there. Not sure about playing directly from the source. Fallout Vegas was like this, with the mixed saves, it I found you had to be careful not
to overwrite something. You could always transfer your first game saves somewhere else while you play the new build, just in case. Or at least, make a copy of your most recent one to Cloud, just for safekeeping. I've done that as well.

The Xbox One automatically saves games to the cloud while you are connected to the internet. Game progress will be saved in the cloud storage of the account currently logged in.
