whilst Xbox LIVE is a paid for service the BBC wont allow it to have iPlayer on it...it is a shame though

 

So does this mean we can finally invite people who wasn't in the preview ?

I switched my xbox to instant on before I left this morning and straight away it started d/loading something (the router was flashing) so hopefully i'll try it later

 

Mine updated this morning, I'm liking the 50hz TV solution and the Dolby Digital update.

I haven't tried the updated Friends/Parties yet. It seem to download and update very quickly.

How does the 50hz thing work? Does it just make the xbone output 50hz all the time, does it change over when using the TV passthrough or does it make a better job of interpolating 50hz content shown at 60hz?

I'm not keen if it's the first solution.

 

I have read that the TV option switches to 50hz only during fullscreen TV playback, returning to 60hz for other content. Snapped content does not initialise a change of refresh rate, it's claimed.

 

My TV was always okay so I hope they have not broken it now

 

I've been using it a bit today, mainly in Forza. However, upon going back to the dashboard and checking 'Recent Players' I found there was no one there that I had been playing with for the past hour! Bug maybe?

 

Yayy, I can post again! I haven't been able to post on here for over a year, due to constantly getting a 'run time error' every time I tried to connect to the forums.

Oh well, at least it's sorted now.

Recent players doesn't seem to be working for me on Forza.

 

^^^ I should say that having played Forza for about an hour, I then checked recent players and it showed no signs of having played anybody recently at all!

 

I still have no update, what should I do?

 

@ Santan ODT - If you put your Xbox One into Instant On Mode via settings, making sure automatic updates is checked, and then turn it off and leave it off for about 5-10 minutes, at which point you should see the Xbox power button light pulse on and off.
Turn your console on and the download will start.
