    New update sounds

Honestly your updates are gross. I've after another you force them on us. And now we have to listen you these new sounds when just clicking around at home picking new games and going through friends list. These new sounds are terrible. And you guys are disgusting
for forcing us to have these updates. Just chill the ** out. You don't need to update every little thing all the time! Nice job providing a terrible service. I fully regret buying another year of your service and will not be doing so next year.

    :)

    Xbox update new sounds

    Hi

I have not seen an option on the console that allows you to disable these sounds. Can you please use the
Xbox Uservoice website to see if this feature can be added to Xbox One.

I didn't even notice there was a change of this audio problem.... if you could even call it a problem. I didn't even notice any change of audio at all too. And I'm quite young so pick up things which older people may not. So if person b thinks it last a
millisecond, you'd have to have abnormally heightened hearing sensors to conclude a millisecond new sound to be a major apocalypse.

However you can just go into settings and turn off certain or all notification settings. Or you can turn off the volume to your TV/headphones/speakers briefly. Or turn on your favourite music which should distract you from a millisecond beep sound. There
will be another update coming next month. I wonder what surprises it will have installed for us. Maybe do a YouTube video of it. You may get a laugh from the replies from your viewers, and then even that may lighten you up.

Granted the software on Xbox One is by far not the best. If it were good enough they wouldn't have to update the thing every month. It's basically a half baked OS which is trying too hard to be Windows 10 rather than an Xbox OS like Xbox 360. But your complaint
is appreciated. If you kept everything bottled up, others wouldn't know if anything was wrong.

Unfortunately they do not participate/read on here, even though this site is operated by them. You may have better luck posting about your issue here:
Xbox Ideas, powered by UserVoice not only is this site operated by them, they actually read the stuff we write, on that site. I've tried it a few times, and
ended up in all occasions getting what posted there, received, through the Updates. If you want extra attention, post in CAPS, use !! more liberal, and add some pictures. I know they now let you post memes and pictures on here (which can appeal to the younger
    audience).

Hope they fix your issue next month or the month after.

I don't like some of the new sounds, but what I really don't like is the spatial audio, or at least, that there's no way to turn it off.

Spatial audio is amazing in games, but in menus it's just annoying IMO, especially if you're gaming with headphones on. For example, if I open the guide and go to my friends list, as I scroll down the audio is panned all the way to the left. Why??? What
    purpose does this serve?

So yeah, if they add an option to turn off the spatial aspect I'll be fine with it, even though I think some of the new sounds are pretty naff.

May I suggest that you stop playing the dashboard game and play actual games, I know your after the spend 20 hours on the dashboard achievement, but it will come with time. If you play actual games like CoD or SoT then you wont hear the new sounds.

    Just saying.................

You do realise that the Xbox 360 dashboard got constantly updated as well? so it was far from perfect

Also, do you actually know how many OS's are actually running on the Xbox One? I'll give you a clue, the number surprisingly isn't one. The reason they are running more than one OS was that on the 360 games would regularly hang/crash, which would effect
the entire console and would mean a system reboot. On the Xbox One the system OS and the game OS is different, and allows a lot of cool QoL stuff like a game crashing not crashing the entire console.

But ye, you seem to know far more than Microsoft, may I suggest you apply for a job there and teach them a thing or two.
