New update removes sharpening filter ?

This is the rumor making the rounds. Can anybody with the update play one of the "affected" games and confirm or deny this? Thanks !

Did the update make the graphics cleaner?

The update reduced the sharpening filter. So you may have noticed a difference.

The sharpening filter raises the contrast level for certain games, making the image appear more vibrant but crushing the black level resulting in lost details in darker parts of the picture. I believe Killer Instinct suffers the most.

My guess is that they toned done the sharpening filter, so any game that relied on it will look soft now. I guess we'll see what the March update brings, hopefully it reverses the damage the Feb update has done. I understand that people complained about
the harshness of the sharpening filter and MS may have felt compelled to address this, but my gosh why they landed at this solution baffles me.
