    New Update problems


    Anyone else getting sent to the dashboard halfway through a game causing you to leave the game out of no where and have to re join the game in progress to play with your party. I noticed it after the recent update and it has happened to me with titan fall
    and mainly call of duty ghost. Just curious to see if anyone is experiencing the same problems. I know its not my internet connection because My router is completely fine.

    Hey campincarl... what did you mean when you mentioned mortal kombat? I only ask, cuz thats the game i was playing when the console crashed...

    well, my controller wouldn't function after the update, but as soon as i reset the console everything works now

    yes, it happened it to me yesterday. basically, the game is crashing now. Titan fall wouldn't start at first and it asked if I owned the game. Had to take the disc out, and put back in. Game started up, but was making a weird buzzing sound at that same time
    coming through the speakers. It went away after the first TF menu screen. Started the game played one round, and then right before the drop of the second round...game crashed/froze making a crazy buzzing sound...... XB1 went back to the home screen but was
    unresponsive. I couldn't do anything or go anywhere... I turned the game off, and unplugged the power...I received an xbox update more recently than the TF update....I don't think it would be my internet connections (even though I was downloading some movies
    on my computer) but my ping was 32 ms still...

    I have that problem now. It started about three days ago after the update. Xbox one wouldn't read any of the game disc that I have, and then when I reset my system it reads the discs now. But now I'm to have having connection problems with Titan Fall, it
    throws me out off games or just locks up and start over to the menu screen.

    Hi,

    I am having the exact same problem, when the update applies, either using a USB or Live the console restarts but the avatars are shown as empty 3d characters. This means that the update did not applied properly. One time I was able to get to the point where
    I could see the avatar properly. But as soon as I try to play any game or even try to go to market place my console crashed. The problem is with the update as it cannot apply itself to the console either due to the Liteon DVD drive type or some other issue
    with memory.

    With a bit of computer systems, I am understanding this as the update is unable to finish on my console (explains missing avatars) when trying several times it manage to get to avatars but I see an error saying some of the items on my console are corrupted
    and restart is needed .....leads back to square one ...... blank avatar!!!

    I called MS support and they confirmed that my console should not be affected with this update ..... and they had no technical explanation about what is going on here ....except its a hardware fault and console need to be sent in.

    I here you TheGame976, I seem to have same problem as you. Microsft sucks, creates an updae to shut down older hardware so you have to buy new. I'a offically done with xbox and other gaming systems.

    I'm running a 360elite with a 120G HDD... Tech support told me last night that I'd have to send it in for repair... With only about 10 days left on my warranty, so I guess I'll get a free repair, but this update will suck for anyone not still on warranty.
    All repairs should be covered by xbox, since it was a software update that caused the issue in the first place!

    So now all i can get out of the xbox is an instant RRoD, and no answers from tech support... anyone else in the same boat? not the kind of support I would expect after investing more than $1000.00 in this console
