    New update problems with the controller want to connect to the headset


    A few days ago I got a game playing charge for xbox one. When the update came days later I decided to update the console. Then I realised that since I have a play charge to update the controller with I also updated the controller. Ever since that update
    it now takes me the best part of 10mins to connect my headset to the controller as I can be plued into the controller but still acts as if there is not headset pluged in at the bottom of the controller. I have try every think to get the controller to pick
    up the headset like joining my friends party with it already in instead of out but that dose not work. Ive tryed assigning the controller to a person but that dose not work either. Ive also tryed muting myself and the party with headset in but not connected
    and then unmuteing me and party but it then refuses to unmute me and the party so I have to leave the party and then go through my friends list and unmute everyone in said party then untute my self and then join the party back with headset still in but it
    still refuses to pick up the headset. Eventually over time the xbox gives in and lets the headset comnect so I can talk. My headset is also not broken as I went to my friends and he has not updated his console or controller and my headset works just like it
    used to. So it currently takes 10 mins or more for the headset to connect so I can talk with friends and its either the controller update or new dash update but right now trying to connect my headset to controller is like trying to figure out the code convernation
    for the safe for the bank of England. Please help me.

    Wired headset problem with Xbox360 "Halo REACH edition"

    I'm having several problems with the wired headsets.

    If i want to use the headset, I must connect it to the controller before to turn on the console. If i connect the headset later, the console/controller wont detect/recognize the headset.

    If im playing with the headset but i unplug it by accident, when i try to coonect it again doesnt work. I must shut off the console then connect the headset and turn on the console again......

    Im playing with the headset and 1 to 5 minutes later... i cant hear anything, just speak... i must select in voice options the sounf of headset in both (headset and tv) or just tv, to solve the problem quickly...

    And more problems with xbox live party.

    I checked parental control, all settings, tested 4 different controllers and 2 headsets (all original).

    I want to buy a wireless headset but i fear to have the same problems... if exist a solution for this, please let me know.

    Headset/Mic Not Working

    Are you using the Turtle Beach audio controller and/or Microsoft chatpad adapters too? If so, try unplugging them and connect the headset directly to the controller if it has a 3.5mm plug. I had an issue with one or both of those with my TB XO Four for
    awhile and I had to direct connect the headset until a new dashboard update was released.

    Xbox stock microphone still not working!

    Finally got a mic to work after four months, I fixed my problem by buying a new controller and headphone set .

    It looks like the stock controller for the Xbox one had problems updating because as soon as I connected my new controller I had to update and it worked and i was able to hear and speak to people .

    I tried all the steps below before buying the new controller and headset and they did not work, i believe it was because there was no update for my old stock controller or there was a problem updating it .

    This is what I did :

    1. Turned off the Xbox one by unplugging it from the wall .

    2. Removed all parts of the charge and play kit out of the stock controller and put them into the new controller .

    3. Connected the Xbox one back into the wall and switched it on .

    4. Then updated the new controller .

    5. Connected the new headset to the new controller and started up Call of Duty Black ops 3 .

    The new controller I bought had the new 3.5mm connection, where as the old controller was stock and did not,

    I think this might also be part of the problem .

    The headset I bought were Kama Tritons with the 3.5mm connector and the old headset was the Xbox one stock headset .

    My paddles are in good condition yes as far as I can see. There are no bends or breaks or anything, I don't smash my controller or anything so I wanted to know if I should buy a new controller or just new paddles. Also with my headset, this is the first time this has happened to me ever and I dont know if its the controller or the headset. The cord looks perfectly fine on the headset, and I dont have another headset or controller to connect to see what the problem is because I gave my extra headset and controller to a friend. I wanted to try to figure this out quickly as I want to buy the new xbox series x but want to know if I should also put another controller in my cart as well.

    Did i make the right choice when buying a new console?

    to answer the issue with chat and your new and/or old headset.

    1.plug your headset into the controller

    2.go to settings and select your controller

    3.select update, [it may say there are no updates but go ahead click update]

    4.after the update your chat should work with the connected headset
