New update, more clicks to open a game ?

Well, it took several attempts to download a "new" update. It wasn't initiative either. You have to (or at least I had to) sign into XBox, go to support, go to microsoft ultimate word game, then click on "INSTALL" (download). This is not what I would expect. It "should" update automatically or at least when you complete microsoft updates...no it does not. Then it requires you to "install" again it should state "update". Once I click on install it took several attempts (more than 4 times) to get it to actually download then install. I am running Win11 Pro. After it installed the Ultimate Word game was opening and is available. More work than is needed. Microsoft will probably have an automatic update to this in 6 days then aka new day for Microsoft.

Log into Xbox and click on MUWG, click on install. It updates easily. And works.

I checked my Device Manger; no flags.

Opened the Display Adapters and right-clicked to Update Driver Software...

It searched the web and loaded a new driver. Didn't fix the problem.

Please make sure your windows and all its services are up to date:

Open Settings, click Update and Security and then Windows Update;

Click Check for Updates;

Click the Download and Install Now option, if available;

If all is up to date, try this:

Go to windows settings > apps > search for gaming services app > click on it and select advanced options.

After that click repair and then restore, open the app and try again.

Could you check if your Windows system is up to date?

Open Settings, click Update and Security and then Windows Update;

If everything is up to date, please try instead create a new local user on your PC, then try install Xbox app in the new local account
