Pretty interesting article or short commentary. I honestly believe that any notifications telling a gamer they have been online to long on any electronic is intrusive and boarders on privacy rights being disregarded! I am not for some message popping up
on my screen and staying on there for an unlimited amount of time. Microsoft no thank you.

This is what I don't want in future XB1 system updates.

That has absolutely nothing to do with privacy. Annoying perhaps, but still nothing even remotely to do with privacy. Unless you also think it's an invasion of privacy when your oven timer goes off to let you know your food is ready?

It's just a health warning & can be turned off I believe.

Nothing to do with invading anyones privacy.

Better keep more of an eye on my microwave now though

 

I heard about it but so far didn't got a "warning notification".

But don't see what's wrong,it's not like the console will turn off by itself,it's just a warning.(less annoying that your mom coming to your bedroom and unplug your console because you spend to much time gaming).

Wow... How about, let's not have some people running rampant with rumors and speculation without bothering to read the comments below the video. Or at least acknowledging that some comments throw this "privacy invading" aspect into question... unless you
live in certain region(s). I quoted one (I think it's the very first one).

It would've been nice if you had messaged me and let me know you were writing up an article on my post. It'd also have been nice if you included the updated part of my post detailing why this notification was happening,
that it only happens if your console location is set to South Korea.

I was able to fix it by switching locations a few times and doing a full restart of the console.

You can check out the notification yourself if you set your console locale to SK and then idle on the dashboard or in a game for an hour.

I'm aware that some countries aren't as tolerant of video gaming and their governments likely enforce certain restrictions or requirements for games and even consoles. But I'm
certainly not going to be boarding any conspiracy trains that are on a track in a country that's 6.5k+ miles overseas from my location.
