New update fried My xbox, need help

Ever since the new dashboard was released I've Had nothing but problems. First is started with my xbox no longer reading my external hard drive. Now My Xbox occasionally decides it won't start up and game or app. So I do what xbox support tells me, and hard
reboot (holding the power button for 15 seconds, also unplugging the power completely) now when my xbox decides it wants to turn on when it doesn't just randomly turn of it either won't let any controllers connect to it, or it won't let me connect to Xbox
live because it won't let me set up a wireless connection because it says there is a cord plugged in when I Don't even have an ethernet cable. Any tips or solutions would be greatly appreciated. It's been about a week since I could use my xbox...

Can't download update

It was my hard drive, and I can now connect to Live and get updates just fine. But, is there any way to fix my hard drive? Or is it just fried, and I need a new one?

 

Xbox 360 won't connect with an ethernet cable and won't use the wireless card

thanks for your help guys but nothing here fixes it im pretty sure something is fried in my xbox . I think because I connect directly rather than using wireless a surge traveled my ethernet cord during a lightning storm and just fried my card

 

Are you in the preview program because there hasn't been a new dash since last year?
