One of the Respawn devs said on the forums that it fixes the UI freezing issues that have plagued the game since update 6. There's rumours that a horde mode is being added, although that is just a rumour that's been going around so don't be disappointed if
that doesn't materialise.

To be honest, so far. so good. Haven't died yet, but I know bigger battles are coming and haven't faced any bosses yet. I'm currently at the Citadel.

No announcements yet or hopefully anytime soon. The new Xbox LIVE update coming this fall pretty much turns your current consoles into a brand new one.

The rumour about the horde mode was correct! It's called Frontier Defense. It looks awesome too!

They've also announced more game modes - Marked For Death Pro and Deadly Ground. Marked For Death Pro is a variation on Marked For Death and Deadly Ground sounds like they're going to slowly flood the map with electric fog to force pilots to use wall running
and to get to higher ground.

You will be able to buy a "free pass" burn card from the Black Market, so if you're stuck on a challenge you can skip it.

The broadcast is still ongoing, so if they announce any more stuff I'll post about it here.

Update looks awesome, but no chance to play yet. Is it good?

Yeah, it's great!

It fixes the issue that had been annoying me since update 6 - the issue with the UI freezing when a round starts and when a match ends - and it adds a bunch of cool new stuff and achievements.

The co-op mode is a lot of fun. There's a new ranked mode, although it's only in beta at the moment and only gen 10 players can get in on it, although you can invite up to 5 of your friends to be in on it too.

I suspect that this is the last major update we'll see, and we might see a couple of smaller updates just to refine what's been added in update 8 and fix any remaining bugs, but it's the biggest and best update yet and so if it is the last one, it's a great
way to end support for the game.
