New update bricked console - Can't update

The new update has rendered my console completely unusable. It lags, freezes, turns itself off. I did a full restore, and it started working again. It worked for one day, before it started lagging and freezing again. I tried to do another restore. I don't
have full access to internet. I can't always connect. But Microsoft decided to make it impossible to initiate your console after resetting without connecting. There is no option to continue without connecting. So I decided to try and download the update and
put it on a USB drive. Oh but wait! I have a Mac. So thanks to Microsoft, I can't even do that because the flash drive has to be formatted as NTFS. So now I have a very expensive paperweight. Thank you Microsoft. I've been an Xbox Live member since day one,
but at this point you are making it very hard for me to keep justifying staying.

    :)

0x80820002 error Sorry we can't play disc

I think the update is already out but you can't install it on an already bricked console?

Xbox update has broken my console...twice!

Hi, when I installed the February system update my Kinect bricked within 12 hours, Xbox support very helpfully sent me a new Kinect and all was sorted. On Saturday I installed the March update and the whole console bricked within 12 hours, completely and
utterly dead! Wondering if anyone else has had issues with the most recent updates?

Thankfully Amazon have sent a new console out immediately and it came today (Sunday)

    Hey there PrimeSpcts,

You'll want to post in the
    Xbox One Insider Program Forums
for the best information and assistance. They'll have the best information and steps to troubleshoot. Since the update is still in the early stages, things may not work correctly at times as it is a Beta. So they'll
have the best insight and be able to troubleshoot any potential issues. If you want to opt out of the Insider Program, you can do so from the Insider App on the console. Keep in mind thought that doing so, will cause your console to factory reset and any games
and apps will need to be reinstalled to the console.

In regards to the Flash Drive being formatted to NTFS, you might want to check with a friend or family member to see if you can use a Windows based PC to format to NTFS. Another idea might be to use a library computer to accomplish it as well.

I'm sure the Insider team will be able to help you further though.

Thanks for the reply. I will copy this to the other forum. As far as the flash drive, I used a computer at work and got the update unzipped on it. However, it still didn't work. It failed before it left 0% every time. So I'm using yet another 4GB of my 18GB
plan limit to download an update. I totally get that it's beta and it's a program that I opted in to. That's not my issue. I just can't believe the fact that I can't use my console, at all, without connecting to the internet. At least once. And after a factory
reset. The whole Xbox experience has become so frustrating and tedious. I already use my PS4 for streaming, because I can't access internet that requires a login using the browser on the Xbox without spoofing the MAC and IP address of another device, which
    doesn't always work.

I hate to sit here and complain, but I don't know where else to do it. I leave feedback using the system. It's been over three years, and these are still major issues.

Either way, I thank you for your help.

  6. We totally get the frustrations. Hopefully they will be able to help you out further over there. The website issue with the offline update we're actually aware of and are looking into. In the meantime, if you are selecting Xbox One S, try selecting Xbox
One instead and using that file. It should work for you.

Any further questions while you are in the Insider Program will need to be directed towards them in their forums. They will be better equipped to help you out due to the testing nature of that program. Appreciate the understanding! New update bricked console - Can't update :)
