    New update, Blu Ray player not working.


    I'm going to start off by saying I have a xbox day one edition. The first problem I had with the console was the black screen of death. Took me two weeks after not even playing my brand new xbox out of the box to receive a replacement last year.

    Now to the new issue:

    I have a Astro A40 headset (original can't be software updated) that I use for CoD. It has worked perfectly fine until I had to buy Microsoft's Stereo Headset Adapter to go along with their controller update. That seemed to work fine for a month, until in
    July I was told to update my console. After that update, my headset is now useless for chat. I can hear everything in cod, but can't communicate with anyone. It shows my headset is plugged in, but no sound comes out. I can hear people talk, but thats it.

    Newest issue as of 8-19 update

    A few days ago I updated again like Microsoft asked me to. This time my Blu Ray player doesn't work. I deleted the app and reinstalled it. NOTHING! Just says "No disc in the drive." I did the whole power the xbox down 10 secs, unplug and nothing. So I got
    so frustrated I reset my whole xbox to the originally settings and re-downloaded all my games and apps. Guess what.... Still not letting me use my Blu Ray player. My games work, but can't talk to anybody. And now I can't watch movies. Does anyone else have
    any of these issues lately? Thanks

    hi I just bought a new Blue ray and I just installed the blu ray player on my Xbox one but when I play disc it says that it's manufactured to the latest blue ray or something like that and I need an update maybe, but there's no update available.

    Received preview version of Blu-ray app, but I'm not in the preview program

    The same happened with me. 3D blu-ray now works, but it's really choppy, making the movies unwatchable. Will this blu-ray app update combined with the august update help the movies run smoother? It would be nice to be able to put away the 3D blu-ray player
    and just use the One for movies.

    Hello Mirkor,

    Do these movies work in a regular DVD/blu ray player? What we are thinking it could be something with your region, maybe you aren't getting the required update for the blu ray player for it to work correctly. Do you get any error codes at all?

    Blu Ray Problem: Cannot play Game of Thrones Season 3

    The latest update did not fix the playback issue with Game of Thrones Season 3 on Blu-Ray.

    Some users may encounter the error that was causing the Xbox to not read the disc, again, even after updating the Blu-Ray player app.

    To work around this, fire up the Blu-Ray app with no disc in your Xbox.

    You'll be prompted that there is no disc in your drive.

    Insert Game of Thrones season 3 blu-ray into your drive.

    Viola, and enjoy.

    I don't need to download an app to use my Blu-ray player and it updates its own firmware.
