    Hello,

    I brought my Xbox One to a friend's house. I'm using his TV but when I hop on Destiny or MCC there is some serious framerate/input lag that I have never gotten before. The games run incredibly poor and I cannot play them. Please help, thanks!

    I went from using a BenQ monitor to a Samsung Smart TV.

    Thank you so much for your input guys! I ended up returning that TV and ordering a 32" 1080p LCD at Costco for $220. It has a 60Hz refresh rate, so hopefully that will solve the lag situation.

    (I'm sorry if I posted this in the wrong forums, if a Mod is reading this please move this to the correct the forum.)

    I need help deciding which TV to get. I like the Samsung 40" because it has brighter and vibrant colours. But it has only got 100hz cmr whereas the Panasonic has 150hz. I want the tv to last a long time (preferably 4-5 years). If you have a different tv

    New TV Lag?

    Most older tvs have HD lag, It does differ depending on each TV. You could try a gold pinned hdmi cable to see if this helps ( the shorter the better ). Also make sure that the TV has the latest software as well.

    Oh and one more thing always use the 1st hdmi port as this has the best connection

    It may also be worth enabling Game mode on the TV to eliminate all the processing the TV does which in turn creates display lag.

    Xbox 360 slim PROBLEM with A/V setup

    Screen lag on new TVs? That is a problem I have never heard of. And you do have to adjust the output setting of the console to match the TV type.

    And why play on old TVs anyway, the resolution is terrible. Just plug into a new TV with an HDMI cable.

    You would be better of buying a 24" monitor if its purely for gaming.

    This is the TV i use as i wanted a TV for my front room but also one for gaming

    www.hdtvtest.co.uk/.../sony-kdl42w653-201308113237.htm     It had at the time one of the lowest input lag seen on a TV. Most of the new Sony range have the lowest input lag now.

    The lower the ms value on input lag the better the screen will be for gaming.
