New to Xbox One, and Not Happy!!!!!!!!! HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I"m not peddling fanboy crap. You can play games faster on PS4 but that doesn't make me a PS fanboy. I'm too old to care who plays what or to try and convince people one way or the other. However when people make false comments about either console i'm going
to correct them on it (I do the same on PSforums.) I also don't play internet tuff guy either, but since you say I'm PS fanboy I'll put my xbox credintials up against anyone, not that anyone should care. So you've installed the exact same game on both consoles
and they are even? Because I can tell you that I have the following games on both consoles and feel free to check me on it (PSN and XBL PICK34) Tomb Raider, Destiny and COD ghosts and Advanced Warfare. Each one installed faster on PS4 than Xbox One. Xbox One
does most things better than PS4, but installing and not to mention downloading are faster on PS4.

 

Major Nelson has stated in the past that the disc installs on the XB1 are known to be slow. Has something to do with the way the console reads the information as it is spun. It was designed and set up to read it for the pre reversal no disc play and when
they switched the the current set up, it causes a few hiccups.

The XB1 is easily the superior console. Its not even a contest at launch it wasnt but it is now. You cant blame the Xbox because you have poor internet, my games install in 15 mins max and thats any game. Sold my PS4 as its so poor, slightly sharper picture
but essentially its junk

This should not be the case though. No reason a single player game should have a connect requirement. And an internet connection requirement does not make "next gen" gaming. A lot of single player games would be just fine without the meaningless connection
requirements.

Plus, developers are relying on patches and updates way too much. I was talking to a friend of mine before they shipped their game. He was telling me about the troubles they were having getting the patch ready. But they wanted to ship. He new good and
well that patching the game was going to be a tougher challenge than fixing it in house before shipping. And that patching that way was not really the most ideal. They wanted the early money though. And it does more harm than good. Even if the game is
working the way it should within the first few weeks it can create a mess. Especially for a new IP. Of course they did not have a new IP. Anyway, I just find it sad that they have resorted to always relying on the patch system to make the game work correctly.
We might start seeing a slight shift away from that though if consumers stop pre-ordering and buying early while waiting for the patching to be done.

@OP I understand were you are coming from. I know a few people who want the Xbox One but they just do not have the internet connection for the patches and stuff to be able. So they just stick to the 360/PS3. I have had one friend being his box over to
the house to update and dl patches and updates sometimes since he has such poor internet available way out were he is. Sad that single player games are no longer viable in plenty of instances without those day one patches. And with major game breaking issues
that should have easily been caught during production. Some of these reasons are why I seem to see sales so quickly after launch on even the biggest games. Does save me money though.

 

Another option if you happen to go PS4 is if you have access to faster internet, you could always download the system patches to a USB drive and install them when you get home. The X1 may even be able to do this, but I haven't tried.

 

I have a bad internet connection 5MB/.43 up. Most of the time I don't get 5MB down usually it's 2MB. I have the X1 and I've learned to deal with it. I can't get better internet..only 1 ISP. I've learned that if a game I'm going to play with my clan has
a patch out I download it the night before. I had to do that on the PS3 last gen as well. I still enjoy gaming with my clan and rarely now have issues. Just party issues.

 

Dragon what's your gameplay like with that connection is it OK for

 

I play COD, Destiny, Titanfall...had great connection with Titanfall. I haven't played Halo MCC online yet but I played the Halo 5 beta. I have some issues...sometimes I have a good connection and sometimes not. I can play and very rarely is it really
laggy unless I connect to like Europe or something.

I'm not saying that ps4 doesn't install games faster than Xbox one but I can assure you that no system will install a 40gb game from disc to hdd in one and a half minutes. No pc, no console, no nothing! And you have an Internet conection that downloads 40gb
in 1.30 mins and installs it, please Mame a vid as I'd love to see it!
