new to xbox asking about Backward Compatibility

good evening im thinking about getting an xbox one since there is no hope for red dead redemption 2 to be released on PC which is my main gaming platform for the last 6 years

i owned a PlayStation before and never tried x box but im getting one now for two reasons

1- its 180$ cheaper than the ps pro in my country

2- i want to play red dead Red Dead Redemption 1 i never finished the game on the ps3

now my question is i dont know whats the equivalent of PS PLUS on the x box but when i get one can i change the region ? to a store that have the game because im from bahrain and when i checked the game is not available

Original Xbox backwards compatibility problem on Xbox 360

Everyone is asking about backward compatible games for the Xbox One and here you come in asking about BC Xbox games. Ain't nobody got time for that

Because of backward compatibility you will be able to join parties, join games but only the xbox 360 game you have started up.

Xbox Gold is the most similar thing to PS Plus.

As to your region question, I'm not sure.

 

The equivalent of PS PLUS is Xbox Live.

Unfortunately you will not be able to get Xbox Live to work in your region, even if you get a code from another region and change your region while in Bahrain (changing region to get around region blocks is considered market fraud), and any digital games
will not work since you need to be connected to Xbox Live to download and purchase and sometimes USE games.

Please make sure you are in one of the countries on this list to be able to use Xbox Live:
Xbox Live Countries | Xbox Live International

Sorry but you will be able to play your disc games offline - and ones that require additional downloads at launch may not work correctly or work at all.

 

During the setup of the Console it will allow you to setup the region. You may be able to select the region where you are able to buy the game digitally and then allow you play the previous game.

but can i set up my accout region to the UAE or KSA ? that worked on PS will it work on xbox live

 

yes i was thinking about that and i just checked the x box live memberships that are sold here says
is compatible only with a UAE account

so i can set my accout to UAE but i saw older threads here and people dont recommend doing that
