New to the game, need some help on loadouts and much more.

Hello Everyone,

I'm relatively new to the shooter games, and completely new to COD games seeing as how Ghosts is the first COD game I've ever purchased. I'm averaging about 10 kills online, so I'm constantly looking for new ways to improve my gaming. I'm basically
wanting to know what's some of your guy's favorite load outs, and what can I do to improve my online gaming skills & maximize kills while minimizing deaths? I'm making a list below for your opinions on certain areas, and your opinions on what I'm currently
choosing. Hopefully you guys can lend a helping hand.



1. What's your favorite **** Rifle with attachments & why?

Mine as of now is either:

AK-12 with Red Dot Sight & Armor-Piercing

or

Remington R5 with Red Dot Sight & Armor-Piercing

2. What's your favorite Submachine guns & why?

Mine as of now is:

Vector CRB with VMR Sight & Armor-Piercing

3. What's your favorite Light Machine Gun & why?

Mine as of now is:

Ameli with VMR Sight & Armor-Piercing

4. What's your favorite Marksman Rife & why?

Mine as of now is:

MR-28 with Red Dot Sight & & Armor-Piercing

5. What's your favorite Sniper Rifle?

Mine as of now is:

L115 with Thermal Scope & Armor-Piercing

6. What's your favorite Shotgun & why?

Mine as of now is:

Bulldog with Foregrip & Muzzle Brake



7. What's Your Favorite Perk Set ups, Why do you use them, Do they work better with certain gun set ups, etc.

I use the following:

For Stealth Missions I use: Recon; Blind Eye; Dead Silence; Recon

For Aggressive Gunning I use: Sleight of Hand; Dead Silence; Hardline; Ping

For Another Aggressive Gunning I use: Sleight of Hand, Hardline, Ping, and Scavenger

8. What's your favorite Strike Package set-up & why?

I use the following:

SAT COM; Guard Dog; Helo pilot or Maniac





Since I am new to this game, I'm hoping some respectable gamers with some skill can give me a helping hand. I'm trying to become the best I can be but, I know there is reasons people go with certain set ups, and reasons that some set ups work better
than others. Any helping hand would be highly appreciated. I'm still learning this game, and I hope to gain a higher knowledge and better understanding of using certain guns, perks, and strike packages together to help me become a better soldier. ANY HELP

New, And need some help!

my xbox is actually from Italy. It has said a few things about MTU... I don't know if there is something where I need to change regions or what...

 

Halo 4 loadouts will not refresh

My I seem to have two sets of loadouts: one I can edit and on the game allows me to play with. I am not able to edit the loadouts I can play with, as those are always the same. Even after editing the loadouts in a matchmaking game (these loadouts reflect
the one's I've made also) the loadouts I can choose to play with never change. I do not know how to fix this issue, and it would be nice to play with the loadouts I've made as I get more abilities and perks.

 

You have the better SMG and ARs picked out. Most of the better perks are probably Dead Silence, Off Grid, Focus, but its all going to depend on game modes and play styles. Ive had some of my best games when I had only one perk picked, LOL. I didnt have time
to fully change it between matches and it just happened. Since Juggy and Stopping Power are out, all the perks work well, if you play them how they should be used. I usually use the lower Assault streaks for ranking or Ill use the higher Support ones. JMHO.

 

The AK-12 is a nice pick and one of my personal favourites, but it doesn't need a Red Dot as the iron sights are perfectly fine (imo) Grip and Extended Mags would be my pick.

The Ameli is another fine choice and another personal favourite, but like the AK, it doesn't need a sight as the iron sights are also very good and would be much better off with a Grip (imo).

Another decent pick for LMG's would be the M27 and LSAT, lovely iron sights, which is always a bonus.

 

Why is it, exactly, that you are using Armour Piercing bullets? You don't know?

That's interesting. Put some time into the game and ignore what everyone else uses. Use the weapons, attachments and perks yourself and come to your own conclusions. You don't need to know what the 'best' is, you should be aiming to be able to pick anything
and make it outgun the best.

 

Nothing wrong for a beginner to seek advice and/or a little guidance but as Bob suggests, use what feels right for you and your playstyle. I'd personally pick the muzzle break over armor piercing rounds. I find its benefits are useful 100% of the time
whereas armor piercing requires specific scenarios. But if you're really into taking down killstreaks or hunting juggernauts I can see how you'd prefer AP rounds but the muzzle break is pretty beastly. I know they're not in the same category but they seem
similar and it doesn't look like you're using a silencer that would prevent you from selecting the muzzle B.

Perk wise, I'm a big fan of quick draw. Aiming down the sights happens hundreds of times a game and having a perk that quickens that action is invaluable in a fast-paced shooter.

Also, don't forget you can drop your secondary weapon and equipment, (grenades and flash bangs ect.,) to earn more perk slots.

 

I would add that you should setup local games against bots. That's the multiplayer option just below XBox Live. I like about 5 bots and start with them on recruit. This is a good way to learn the maps, practice your aim and get a feel for which weapons/perks
you want to try.

 

Yeah custom games vs. bots is a great way to try things out. Everything is unlocked, (weapons, attachments, perks, killstreaks etc.) so you don't have to worry about spending squad points on something you may not want.

 

My advise for newcomers is get familiar with how Specialist works, and know that getting rid of secondary weapons, nades, and tacs will open up more perk slots.

I learned the maps pretty fast on search and rescue but my friends have tried bots first but they are new to cod in general.
