  1. new-to-me Xbox 360 isn't showing up in my device list

I recently bought a used Xbox 360 and got everything set up on it with my existing Xbox Live profile. After signing in (and signing out and back in again more than once, just in case) I checked my device list on my Microsoft account and the Xbox isn't showing
up. In theory it should be automatically added to the list as soon as I sign in on the device, but it's still not there. Going to any Xbox 360 games I already own on the Microsoft store and trying to install them from there gets the message "It looks like
you don’t have any applicable device(s) linked to your Microsoft account. To install, sign in on a device with your Microsoft account." Since signing in on the Xbox didn't make it show up in my list of devices, I added the serial number instead, and at least
now it's in my list of devices...but it still doesn't register as a compatible device for the games I own.

Trying to install any of those games on the Xbox itself was more successful, but I was still getting a "this game has been assigned to a different console" message, which makes no sense because no Xbox 360 has ever been linked to my account (and those games
aren't compatible with Windows or Xbox One, so they couldn't have been installed on either of the two devices already linked to my account). I downloaded and played one anyway, which was supposed to make it my default console, but...no, still getting "already
assigned to a different console" on other games.

    :)

I did that, though--like I said, I registered it using the serial number and now it's in my list of devices, but I still can't do anything with it from there like install to it. It also doesn't make sense to me that the console having a previous owner
would be the issue; the only reason there's an Xbox One in my list of devices is that my friend has one and I logged in one time to play Minecraft. I don't own that console, obviously, and it's not registered to me, but signing in once was enough to make their
console automatically show up in my list of devices.

That used console is already registered under the profile of the previous owner. Register under your account with the serial code in the back, if you still have issues contact xbox support.

Hello, I in fact, have the same issue. I recently noted it, and was weird, because I was the one who registered the console first. And, I have the console already added to my device list.

Yesterday I experienced a live disconnection and then, went to the MS site to check. It was there when I discovered thar my console (360) have been removed from the device list.

My account is showing that I am playing games I don't have... on a console I don't own.

Nope. Changed my password, nothing changed - but there isn't even an xbox on my account. The game isn't showing up on my end, just what other people can see that I'm playing.

I went through the account sign ins, devices and games and there's no one logged in other than me, there's no xbox and 2k isn't listed as a game I've played ever.

    So...

This isn't actually someone playing on my account unless they masked everything, it's literally the app showing that I'm playing games I don't own.

(Add me but also send me a message on LIVE. Since the 360 friends lists are full but the ONE allows me more friends people who add me don't always show up in my 360 list).

    [/quote]

Az, the only way that friends show up on your 360 list, as well as your Xbox One list, is if they add you from either the forums, or whilst using their 360. I have the same problem. When looking at my FL from the forum, it shows that I'm missing about
10 friends that show up when I'm using the xbox one.
