New Surface Laptop can't run xbox app properly, can this be fixed?

So I just bought a new Surface laptop, and the Xbox app is not working. It only shows options for cloud gaming but even when I try to click on a game, it just keeps telling me to join Ultimate GamePass even though I have a free PC GamePass trial. I have tried the repair and reset option on the installed apps>Xbox>Advance Options, uninstalling and reinstalling, signing out and in, running the powershell commands and Win + I recommendations but nothing works.

This feels honestly ridiculous as Microsoft and Xbox are the same company and this laptop is brand new and should be able to run an app made by the same company. All I want to do is play Fallout 3 on my new laptop and I can't even do that.

Please someone tell me there is a way to fix this and that I have not wasted a good amount of money on a new laptop that cannot even perform functions my last laptop could with ease. I have read that because it is ARM that there is no way the xbox app can actually run. I was so excited for this laptop.

that is correct, you do not have a compatible processor, and you can't run many things under emulation no matter what your friends tell you,

ARM is designed for efficiency and the same battery life,

You're going to have problems with any secure system because emulation usually trips the watchdog. Mac users have been complaining for the last several years because they can't run the Xbox app anymore on their M based laptops either. While new systems may developed in the future for ARM, that is the current situation.

You need an AMD or Intel X64 based processor

Wow that sucks.

So what you are saying is that the xbox app will never ever work properly for me on this laptop?

Steam games work on this laptop fine.

FYI, just opened the Xbox app on laptop and was able to run Forza 5 with no issues. Closed it out, closed xbox app, shut off laptop. Still can't run from this new computer.

I am having this problem too.

It won't log me in on Surface pro 2 running 10 (anniversary) or laptop running 10.

Tablet running 8.1 is still fine. Gonna try a reset on the Surface over the weekend and see if it fixes it.

I wonder if it's because it bought the 'premium' version on 8.1 - because it now says when i start the app on any 10 device, that "this in-app purchase no longer exists"
