That is such a slap in the face to Monolith. Why do you dislike them?

Actually their last 2 games, GCI & GOME had some really bad problems. Among the problems both games ended up having, were game save losses. There were more problems with both games. I won't bother listing them all,
but long story short, they abandoned both games, turned them into F2P on pc. They got so many complaints on the official GCI forums, they actually got rid of the forum and re-directed it to the Steam F2P forums. I don't have enough time to actually go into
all the reasons I dislike them, but it's just me. Hopefully their new game is problem free. They've just lost my trust. That's all. I'm not saying either game was horrible. I'm just saying they were abandoned.

 

This one flew under my radar until I watched the 30 min preview they had on the games marketplace, now it's a must have!

 

I'll get it, but not at launch. This game has a bad release window because there are so many games coming out the same month.

I do like Monolith though. The Condemned games and a few F.E.A.R. games were good so hopefully they can make another quality game.

 

@Goth those are pretty damn good reasons to be wary of this game. Hopefully, the same issues dont persist on consoles with SoM.

@brandi They moved the release date up to September 30 in the US(I know that doesnt help you at all) but that has softened the blow for me and since Ive decided to skip Destiny it helps alot it was pushed up.

 

I could see why it is thought of as an AC clone, i still remember the first video with the guy moving around the streets and i actually felt like i was watching a new AC trailer, the way he traversed the environment etc.

But with the newer trailers you can see them working to make it a bit more distinct or should i say seperate with all the abilities etc still not sure if its a must buy/day one buy for me but it definitely gets me a little more interested each time i see
new stuff about it and i am sure i will pick it up at some point but like said its chucked into a heavy area of releases so i will be picking and choosing very specific titles due to financial restraint, might grab it for xmas or something, but september is
fifa time for me :/

 

Really interested in the Nemesis....Build an orcs army...That's classy.

 

It looks like it could completely change gaming. The whole system they have in place where enemy's move up and down the ranks, them remembering battles and events.. don't think anything like that has ever been done. Day one for me.

 

I just put 5 down on it yesterday. This should keep me interested until Dragon Age Inquisition

 

visually it's not impressing me .. and that's because it's an Xbox 360 title ported up to Xbox One unfortunately. i'm a big LOTR fan though so i'm in

 

Its not a must buy for me but I should have it Day One or Day Two.

 

I didn't have much of a chance to be involved with LOTR lore, wife has no interest in those kinds of stories... and they're long movies. I'm loving how this game is looking though. I don't know if it's a definite day 1 buy. It will definitely be a rent and
see how much replay value it will have (especially considering how many other games will be releasing around it).

My problem is that Destiny has sapped my will to play anything else.

 

To many other games out at the same time, I will have already bought destiny and forza, plus theres no MP so happy to wait and buy it cheaper later or rent.
