New Series X/S Warranty

Now I may get a lot of hate for this but this is a genuine question that I have for both sides of the everlasting console wars and yes I understand Microsoft can only attest to one side of this. I also am assuming I already know this answer but judt would like some confirmation from Microsoft themselves, if possible. Since there doesn’t seem to be alot of control to ensure the average customer can get their hands on a system through an authorized retailer, i.e Walmart, BestBuy, Gamestop, Target, etc., and all the scalpers and bots keep getting the consoles before the average Joe; is Microsoft still going to honor factory warranties on the systems? If there was a discussion on this already please let me know, I just couldn’t seem to be able to find it.

Might I ask, then is the 1 year warranty for the s|x series consoles ? so they use the same warranty paper notebook for everything ? That seems confusing.

Yes but from the data of purchase not when you got it

So if you got it from a scalper and he sat on it for 2 months then you lose 2 months

If you are lucky and got it within a month then you can get ms complete which I got myself for 70 bucks for 3 years

I’m no sure what you are meaning with the “no one in the world offers what you want” statement. People being screwed over is not what I want. The company standing behind their products is what I want. I’ve been considering picking up a Series X and as many know coming by those from a retailer is quite the task these days and I’ve never purchased a new system that wasn’t from a retailer. The question was more of a question of if something goes wrong with it will it still be covered or not. Generally, (at least outside electronics) that I am aware of most warranties are non-transferable and can be void if not purchased from an authorized retailer. So that was my concern. Maybe I should have rephrased my original question asking if the warranties that accompany the products are transferable from the original purchases? As I have never been the second owner of a brand new unopened gaming system.

This is with every consumer.electronic companies.

Second sales don't count as a reset noone in the world offers what you want

Thank you for a legit answer. I was just curious how they would handle that since I feel like it would be pretty bad business practice to pull the,” Well you didn’t buy it from a authorized seller, soooo you’re kinda SOL.” Not to mention they would have ALOT of complaints if something took a turn for the worst and consoles started failing under a normal warranty period.
