New Series X bought today, won’t download anything past 8 gigs

Let’s try to isolate the problem a bit more, please try this (skip the ones that you already tried)

1. Double check if your console is up to date:
Go to settings > system > updates
If there is a pending update please perform it

2. Use a custom DNS address:
go to Settings > Network > Advanced Settings

Once you’re inside the Advanced Settings menu, go to DNS settings and select Manual from the list of available options.
When you get to the next screen, enter 8.8.8.8 in the box associated with the Primary DNS and 8.8.4.4 in the Secondary DNS box.

Once the default DNS addresses have been changed, restart your console and see if the issue has been resolved at the next console startup.
If that doesn't work use 1.1.1.1 as primary and 1.0.0.1 as secondary

C. Connect your console to a completely different Wi-Fi network
For this purpose you can share mobile data via Wi-Fi hotspot (of course, only if you have unlimited data or similar)

D. Do a factory reset for your console but keeping games and apps
Go to Settings > System > Console info > reset and then select keep my games and apps
**Make sure to know the email and password for all your accounts

E. Perform an offline update for your console. In that way Xbox system will be installed from scratch.

It is April and I just bought an Xbox Series X and downloaded this game.

I can't even progress past Foundation. I cannot believe this isn't resolved.

even if true, that was also 8 years ago. i remember in 96 purchasing 20 megs of ram for around $170.......megs mind you, not gigs.

the price difference from 8 gigs to 12 gigs (3x4) is hardly anything for a consumer. for MS, it would be considerably less.

just for a profile and saves would not take up a lot o space, I have all of mine on a 4 gig and I have almost 3 gigs left over. just back them up and put them on the new system then re download anything you got from the marketplace for free since you would
be signed into the account that bought/downloaded them in the first place good luck.
