August update...

^Yes the 3D support will be available in the August update, Its supposed to be out already for those of us in the beta programme but I've not got round to trying it myself yet though. If anyone wants an invite to the preview programme chuck us a f/r with
a message saying that you want an invite.

I got one! Finally! Yay!!!!

 

But now I am bummed because I tried to set up a beta account and it messed up somehow. I sent an SOS so I hope an answer arrives soon. I'm afraid to try to open a different account since that almost always ends up not working because it is the same email
address and the beta key is on the address I tried to sign up from.

 

Oh baby! I got mine also. LadyB! Don't give up. My first one took an extra day to finally go through. My first client download took like forever and I had to update it once before it actually let me get on the website. If you have the client downloaded and
updated, just hang in there until Friday. The server will open and then you will get different results. It's a bit confusing but don't give up and I'm going out on a limb here but if you have the key, you'll get to see. Look forward to seeing you online!

Haha. Logged in early before the server queues and immediately knocked over some bosses I had bugs or difficulties with in the last beta. Including closing a dark anchor. Uploading it to Youtube now. They are stress testing the NA server so we have beta
testers from all over the world all on one server. Going to be a lot of spoilers around now that the NDA is lifted so hopefully this forum lets us use spoiler tags.

 

I played for hours then in Mistral, I got stuck. I talked to a lion about armor, Then I couldn't move, at all. Finally something happened or I was bumped but i could move. Then later, after dying a lot, I was talking to a Khajit about a rat problem (well,
it is Elder Scrolls after all) and when we finished taking and I said goodbye, I couldn't move. This time the only keys that worked were the C, the M and ESC. I pressed ESC but when I asked to quit now, it crashed.

I was late starting and all the chests and urns were empty :-(. I found one chest and went after another but some wood elf with better control got to it first. :-(

In appearance and colour palette it reminds me of LOTRO but the controls are a little easier to use. I might have played LOTRO longer if movement had been easier. I still don't like gaming on a computer though. Does anyone know if the keys can be remapped
in the beta? I might try that. I need to relocate the E key.

 

I really don't like the controls on the PC. I've been tweeking them for awhile now, and I can't seem to get it to "feel" right.

 

Yea not sure why they haven't fixed this yet... basically you have to type /reloadui everytime that happens Lady B.

 

Yes you can remap the keys. In the settings menu before you start to play. There is quite a bit of info that you can change around in there. I did however try a wired X-Box controller and had no luck at all with it. I can't tell you how many times yesterday
I had to use /reloadui. Was driving me batty. Kind of funny, some things tend to happen for awhile and then go away and others seem to get forgotten. Try to remember that we're there to point this out to them. If you see something, /bug will take you to the
right menu to report it. The /help menu will take you to the tutorial and report page. There is also the real fun ones like /dance, /lute, /flute, /sleep and /sit that are really cool when a lot of folks are just hanging out. While the band plays on and the
little Elven girls dance in the moonlight....Hahaha lol

 

Any info as to when/if they will be testing console versions of the game?
