New/Returning Gamer.... Need suggestions

Bayonetta is probably the best hack n slash game ever made, sorry Ninja Gaiden 2 fans, it's just my opinion.

Try Lego Batman.It has a simple control scheme and its really fun.You basically only use 3 buttons.

 

In my opinion. God of War 3 is the best hack n' slash game ever made.

 

God of War 3 is a great game, but it's not as great as Bayonetta in my opinion, wasn't as keen on Ascension though.

 

^^ Yeah, I agree with you on Ascension. The first level was awesome though. In GoW 3, it was so awesome when you would grab the bull type creature around it's neck in a headlock and you would see it's breath through it's nose. Very impressive.

 

The multiplayer on Ascension was quite good though, I spent quite a few hours on that.

 

I was going to suggest a LEGO game.... Hailofsteel beat me to it----

Although, I would recommend A Star wars game to start with... Lego Star Wars The Complete Saga is just good fun all around.

Lots of great suggestions here. I'm gonna start with Bioshock Infinite. Scale of 1 to 10, how would everyone rank it?

Next I'll go through my games with gold collection. Anyone been downloading those and have recommendations from that collection?

 

Just thinking, back in the old days when I used to game, my favs were the the Star Wars Jedi Knight series and Knights od the old republic. On pc was really into Half Life, loved Quake, Doom and Unreal Tournament with buddies. Peer to peer, old school.

 

Gears of War, Gears of War 2, and maybe Forza 4.

Easily a 5/10.

Why so many reviewers were gushing over this title is beyond comprehension and probably a confirmation that most of them never played past the first level.

It's a Walt Disney Shooter with bright colours, a herione who looks like Belle from "Beauty And The Beast" and let loose in a fantastical city in the sky.

And if they kept the same level of quality throughout the game it could have been an amazing title.

Instead by the time you get to the Factory and the Shantytown levels the game has gone from Walt Disney Shooter to Pirated Version Of A Walt Disney Shooter.

There aren't many good things you can say about "Road To Hell: Retribution"... but one of them is that it's a better looking game than "Bioshock: Infinite" by the time you get to these muddy textured levels.

Bio-shocking.

 

Red Dead Redemption - A great western. Open world adventure with tons of little side missions. The sounds in this game are awesome.

Borderlands - The best split screen co-op game from last gen. The game seems to adapt to your skill level. I can play side by side with my girlfriend in this game and we both have fun. This game has one of the lowest learning curves around for a shooter.

Far Cry 3 - Beautiful game. Excellent antagonist.

 

Bioshock Infinite on a scale of 1-10. I'd give it a 5 only because it loaded fine and wasn't inherently broken. As a game, and as the 3rd title in the franchise......... it's a failure on all the same levels that made the first 2 so great. The overly positive
reviews of the game are so sugary sweet you'd get a mouth full of cavities just reading them. I'm not into conspiracy theories, nor do I wear a tin foil hat, but some "professional" reviewers went so far as to call the game a "masterpiece" and "one of the
best games ever made....period." LOL. Which lends credibility to the whole "IGN and Gamespot get paid to write positive reviews." Bioshock Infinite was just sooooooo painfully average and in my 30 years of gaming ranks #1 on my list of most overhyped, overrated
games of all time.

 

I made it through the first hour on hype alone in Infinite....Then I just got bored. How was the ending?
