    how to give people reputation

That's exactly what you need to do, EZ. =) Reporting and/or blocking the offensive player will impact their reputation. You can read more about the new reputation system
    here.

  5. I've been watching a friend who loves to pvp in Dark Souls and is currently playing DS2.

His rep on the 360 is now down to 2 stars and is heading towards 1 star. God help us if they ever bring Dark Souls to the current generation.

  6. @ Dilbert88 who said "People actually use the rep system? o.o and to say you're going to stop playing xbox live because of rep is... silly."

we will stop playing xbox live because what microsoft said was

If your rep gets too low they will stop things like twitch etc etc.

How can they threaten us with taking things away we pay for xbox live and its not our fault they rep system is flawed.

  7. Flawed? If you get reported enough to bring down your rep over the period of MORE THAN a few weeks, then you're probably doing something to deserve it (or at least something that others don't approve of, like a bad attitude). So, IMO, it IS your fault. Whether
you pay or not is besides the point - when you signed up for the subscription you agreed to the Xbox Live Terms of Use and Code of Conduct. If you don't follow that, you can get reported and lose your privileges, because that's exactly what Xbox Live is -
a privilege; and as such, it can be taken away.

Anyone who's ever dominated on cod (and any other fps I guess) will tell you how much hatemail they get nightly, it's not hard to imagine them people reporting you,bad losers. Then you get the people who are truly terrible but can't believe it therefore
    you must be cheating.

As far as in aware the system is largely automated unless it's serious, broken system is broken.

  11. Every single report is investigated by the enforcement team. If a bunch of players report you for cheating all at once, it's lumped into ONE report, not a bunch. the enforcement team can then go in and look at the information or data from the game. If there
are no signs of cheating, then the issue is dropped and nothing happens. As a matter of fact, reporting habits are also recorded. If you report people often because you're a poor sport rather than having a legitimate reason, the amount of "false reports" you
file that waste the enforcement team's time will be on record and you will effectively be labeled as the boy who cries wolf - this means if you ever file a legitimate report, the enforcement team will put your report on the backburner and it will take longer
for it to be resolved because they know it's more than likely not going to be legit.

You can't use CoD against me either. I played every single CoD every day for at least 6 months at a time (prominently with MW2, MW3, BO, & BO2) and NEVER suffered from negative reports against me. Sure people claimed that I was cheating or sent me hatemail
every now and then, but nothing ever came of it. I just blocked them or reported them if necessary and moved on.

My advice is simple: 1) follow the Xbox Live Code of Conduct and Terms of Use and 2) have a good attitude.

Regarding the former, all you need is common sense. Don't do anything that's blatantly wrong or potentially illegal, like cheating or trying to steal someone's information. After that, it's just a matter of doing your best to not offend anyone. It's an old
saying, but "if you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all" is a good phrase to live by while on Xbox Live.

Regarding the latter, you can simply say "good game" if you lose or "nice try" to the losing team or player afte the game. You'd be surprised what a difference it makes.

Sometimes, while playing Killer Instinct for example, I'll let a player know why they lost so they can improve - "during our fight, I noticed you were jumping an awful lot which made you very predictable. Try dashing forward and backwards every now and then
by double-tapping left or right on the d-pad or joystick. It'll mix things up a bit and help you become far less predictable. New reputation system ;)" You'd be surprised at how newer players will appreciate things like that. Alternatively, you can break the ice in the beginning
by either saying hello, good luck, or making a joke to make the other player laugh - it's what I do. For example, while playing Injustice Gods Among Us, I like to play Lex Luthor (who's an intelligent underdog in heavy kryptonite-powered armor) and start the
match by saying, "your death brought to you by Lex Corp.'s patented Battlesuit. It WILL kill you... Guaranteed." When I pick Lex's stage, I'll also often say, "welcome to Lex Corp. Labs - your final resting place, where everything is designed and patented
to turn you into dust. Enjoy your stay! ...it won't last long." It's non-offensive, gets the point across that I'm going to likely win, and often makes the other player laugh (if they don't and prove to be a jerk, that's where you mute and/or report and continue
    with the fight).

Another example: if you're in a team game, you can also communicate strategy or tactics with them, even if they're not communicating back - "I'll go down the left hall while you cover the right" - if they correspond by going right, then you'll know they're
probably listening. With teamwork comes a greater chance of succes and more fun for everyone throughout - you might even make a few friends along the way (I certainly know I have over the years).

In the end, it's all about having a positive outlook. Gaming is meant to be fun and used as a way to reduce stress, not induce it. Those with a negative outlook need not apply... New reputation system ;)

  12. Il just leave this quote.

As Xbox LIVE continues to expand, so too does the enforcement team and the effectiveness of their tool Vulcan. But Erickson doubts there will ever be a time that enforcement is totally automated.

    New reputation system

The 360 version uses kind of number of votes % prefer you % who have submitted feedback want to avoid you. Many peps quit early or don't strict vulan-ly to the objective of games. It would be good if they allowed users to post positive feedback instead of
only the ability to post negative feedback on Xbox 1. Maybe if M came up with an AI tool like Cortana, they could make enforcement totally automated. But I doubt it. Technology isn't 100% flawless and it lacks traits which humans have.

  14. Granted it's 3-4 years old, but the following 2 videos will give you a better understanding of just how the enforcement team operates on the Xbox 360. If it worked that well that many years ago, I can only wonder at how much better it probably works today
(and on the Xbox One). New reputation system ;)

  15. EDIT: I added the last 3 videos as a last thought and couldn't edit it to show 5 videos instead of 2. In any case, they show basic truths regarding Xbox Live and help undo some myths. New reputation system ;)
