New Replacement But Not New Warranty

This wouldn't be such a big issue if this particular product wasn't riddled with issues, mainly the A/X/Y/B buttons, that so many others pointed out and continue to. $180 controller that seems to have the Red Ring of Death level problems.

Microsoft should have offered a solution like they did back during the 360 era and gave all affected products a much longer warranty.

I suspect I will have to send it in another time before the warranty is up.

That's typically how most warranties work. The warranty is there to get you a working product within a certain amount of time, whether that be through repair or replacement. Even though they replace with a new item, you only paid for the initial warranty
so you get to keep the remainder of the warranty you paid for (included in the price of the item). There are some companies that offer the option to purchase an additional warranty when you do get a repair/replacement through warranty, but otherwise you just
get the remainder of your warranty.

Why would you expect something abnormal as extemded warranty

When warranty replacement happens it doesnt affect the end of the warranty EVER Unless it is past the warranty period which case you get 30 days or a paid repair which gives you an extended warranty

This IS NOT extended warranty. The product was replaced with a BRAND NEW item. When you get a brand new item from a store its warranty begins at time of purchase. This is the same concept because they sent me a brand new item so it should have its own normal
warranty starting from day of delivery.

No when you send in something thru the warranty center whenevrr it is new or not your warranty stays the same

The only time you get a different warranty is if you buy one or do a direct store exchange

Warranty replacements NEVER Replaces warranty

Or as mentioned paid repair or you received a replacement at the end of your term which ever is longer

So if you have less then 30 days after your warranty yoi get 30days

If your warranty is over 30 days then you get the remainder of your warramty thats it as per the terms of use

And FYI ehen the 360 consoles were repaired in canada we got new consoles

It didnt give us extended warranties

Fyi you didnt buy it new you got a new replacement

Gamestop does the same thing with their replacement warranty they give yoi a BRAND NEW unit or used

But this doesnt affect your warranty
