New PC Installation of Windows - Unable to Install Xbox Games

I recently rebuilt my PC with a fresh install of Windows that's properly activated. I installed the Xbox app and I have an upside-down smiley face on any games I want to install. All my other programs are good to go & I've followed all the available setup devices about clearing the cache, store, and Xbox app with reinstallations etc. and I'm not about to reinstall windows again on a brand new build that has no issues otherwise. Additionally, I also have Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and should be able to install Avengers (which I have installed on my drive still but won't show) and Redfall (which is Free on Gamepass).

Any help?

I understand, since we have tried all the possible troubleshooting steps related to the Gaming Services app, I would highly recommend reporting it using the Feedback Hub app. Please open he app and then click the "Report a problem" button.

To be more specific, it's an Event ID 10016 in the DistributedCOM Source type.

Attempted to do this. Settings look like below -

However I'm still getting the same error after Gaming Services has installed. The Warning I'm getting in the System log is still the following -

The application-specific permission settings do not grant Local Activation permission for the COM Server application with CLSID

and APPID

to the user GALEN\Paul SID (S-1-5-21-1471714770-4124673987-2604207298-1001) from address LocalHost (Using LRPC) running in the application container Microsoft.GamingApp_2304.1001.15.0_x64__8wekyb3d8bbwe SID (S-1-15-2-1723189366-2159580849-2248400763-1481059666-1951766778-2756563051-3565589001). This security permission can be modified using the Component Services administrative tool.

I see. Please follow the steps below to take ownership of the WindowsApps folder.

Step 1: Right-click on the WindowsApps folder. Select Properties from the contextual menu.

Step 2: Go to the Security tab. Then, select Advanced.

Step 3: Select the Change button next to Owner settings.

Step 4: On the pop-up, select Advanced.

Step 5: Then, select Find Now.

Step 6: Select the Administrator option in the panel at the bottom. Save changes by clicking on OK.

Step 7: Click on OK once again in the dialog box.

Step 8: Tick the check box next to ‘Replace owner on sub containers and objects’.

Step 9: Select Apply. Consequently, click on the OK button to transfer ownership.

Step 10: Click on OK once again to close the Properties window.

After doing the steps, this should transfer the ownership of the folder.

Unfortunately, due to the performance issues associated with Windows 11 for my work needs as a freelance Broadcast Technician, I'd rather not upgrade and stay on Windows 10. Is there any other solution outside of that that we'd be able to try?
