    --Bought Xbox One S 500GB Battlefield 1 bundle today. I'm logged in, profile setup, but when I try to set my my profile as the Xbox Home, it gives me an error saying: "Couldn't save your changes". Something went wrong when we tried to save your changes.
    Please make your changes again".

    I chatted w/ Xbox Chat support Kristina and she said it's a Global issue right now and engineers working on it. Everyone else having this issue?

    --It also won't let me set a passkey for my profile with the Error Code 0x80ax40008.

    --I activated the 14 day Gold Trial code that came with the system, then afterwards bought a prepaid charge online and redeemed it through the PC. The system still shows the Trial expiration date of 12/15/16 and telling me to Extend or purchase Gold. When
    you click on Manage subscriptions it shows the 12M and it overrode the Trial. Chat told me Trial will get overridden. However my Xbox still isn't updating to reflect that I'm out of the trial.

    --I checked my Xbox IOS App and that does give me the 5th tab (Gold) that you can normally slide to. My friends are able to get that Gold tab on their device.

    Are all these issues normal as a new Xbox One S owner and will the console eventually update itself to the new subscription? Sounds like got kinda screwy by redeeming the 14 day trial code through the Xbox, then the 12 Month code through the PC for the same
    account.

    Sorry to hear about the issue. Are you able to set your home console and passkey for your Xbox Live account today? Sometimes it can take a bit for your Gold status to propagate through.

    it may also still be set up as the previous owners Home Xbox. If your friend bought it with access to digital downloaded games, the shock will come once the owner makes their new Xbox as the home one. Digital games can not be transfered to a new owner.

    What do you mean by "plug ins"?

    If you are referring to controllers, then note that the Xbox One controller got an upgrade a year ago where it now has a built-in 3.5mm headset jack. This makes the chat adaptor obsolete and aligns it with the Dual Shock 4's connector. I have a Turtle Beach
    PX24 headset which plugs into both the modern XB1 controller and the DS4.

    If you are referring to the Xbox Live Gold and/or the game downloads, then note that these are associated with your Microsoft Account/Gamertag, so you can re-download them on the new console. At the same time, if you have not redeemed those codes then they
    can transfer with the old console to the new owner.

    Preparing an Xbox One console for a new owner is easy. Just find the factory reset function in the Settings and it will erase your data.

    On the new console, go into the My Xbox One function in Settings and nominate that as your home Xbox One. This will make automatically downloading your purchases more efficient.

    My gamer tag is the only one on the console, and it is set to my home Xbox under the only gamertag on the system. On the One S however, I had to log in with my brother's account and make it his home Xbox so that I can use live on my new Xbox one S and game
    share with my brother. I tried playing on my gamer tag on my brother's Xbox one, that is set as my home Xbox, and it says I need to buy gold. But somehow on my original Xbox one, I can play online.
