    New Ops for this weekend are lots of fun


    I don't try to get the Ops but when they happen it's very rewarding. I got the defender medal yesterday in a really tight battle only to realize I didn't have that op turned on. grrrrr. War gaming is spoiling us with all the new ops every week. I'm just
    earning silver and consumables like crazy.

    Lots of fun

    I've been playing WOT for about two months and really enjoy it. I play under GT BillowyBeech. It took awhile to understand the spotting system. Everyone has the same field of view. However tanks appear in your field of view based on their camo factor,
    perks and movement. Once I understood this I quickly adapted and it's fun to kill invisible tanks. Noobs tend to stand still. Good players keep moving to avoid being spotted. I play T40 and AT2 exclusively. T40 is fast and no armor, great gun. AT 2 is slow,
    great armor and decent gun but will die quickly against skilled opponent who knows how to aim. The key to having fun is learning the maps and teaming up with a few good players. I run regular ammo and a few premium rounds which I earn from silver I accumulate.
    It's fun suckering in the enemy with regular ammo and no pen then switching to armor piercing and aiming for weak spots and killing in 1 or 2 shots. I'm starting to get better at identifying weak spots. The tier system is designed to make you spend cash to
    get better tanks but I'm happy at tier 4/5/6/7. Tiers are relative. You earn more XP higher up, tanks have higher hit points and armor but all relative. Tried artillery but it's not my style of fun - fun if you enjoy looking at a bird's eye of the map
    and basically sitting in one spot and searching for enemy's to lob shots at. For a free game entertainment value is very high. Wargaming has an excellent stats page, ribbons and medals are a neat bonus feature. I've had some issues with random disconnects
    but no worse than other games I've paid for.

    good there are more people enjoying the game . you summed it up pretty nicely but if i may add just a few precision .

    the range of vision depends on the tank greatly . for example at tier 5 , your AT2 should have 310m view range while a tier 5 Pz.Ffl.IVc ( the flak bus ) will have 380m view range . now these values can be increased with equipements and crew skills . i had
    plenty of fun with the AT2 ... nothing like bouncing shells over and over again .

    enjoy tiers between 4 and 7 , these are the tanks i still play most . they are just loads of fun . tier 8 is great as well but unless you constantly platoon up , tier 9 and 10 just are not as great for pure enjoyement . too many time , peole seem to be afraid
    of scratching their behemoths and it is often i see a T110E4 or an IS-7 remaining behind a waffentrager or objekt 268 .

    artillery just isn't as fun anymore with a few exceptions ( FV304 is just a blast to play )

    also , when you play the tutorial and watch the videos , they give you some gold . i recommend you do not use it to convert XP but keep it for these times when they have something like half off a garage space or half off premium tier 5 and lower tanks .
    these machines can make you a good amount of silver , greatly help in your crew training and many of them are a blast to play ( my favorite being the russian T5 churchill III, weither in an idiot team or not , i always have fun with this one ) .
