New one x elite controller and now nothing will work

Try this and let us know the results.

you can connect the controller via a USB connection to get the wireless out of the way. It could have become unbound to the console. Once connected I would suggest you go into device and check for a firmware update for the controller. If there is an update
I would suggest you do it via a USB connection (some controllers can be updated wirelessly). I just try to remove variables that could cause a firmware update to fail.

As the previous poster put up sometimes a hard reset will fix most issues. Full power down/up.

Thank you for posting on the Xbox forums. Are you able to access the settings of the console? If you are able to access the settings, we recommend completing

a factory reset. We recommend the soft factory reset. This is the type of factory reset that keeps games and applications installed on the console. This will remove all profiles from the console. Therefore, the email address and password for the accounts
must be known before this step is taken. If the settings are not accessible, we will provide steps on how to factory reset the console through the troubleshooting menu.

How to access the offline troubleshooting menu:

1. Power off your console, and then unplug the power cord to ensure that the console is completely powered off.
   
2. Wait 30 seconds, then plug the power cord back in.
3. Press and hold the BIND button (located on the left side of the console) and the
   EJECT button (located on the front of the console), and then press the
   Xbox button on the console.
4. Continue holding the BIND and EJECT buttons for 10-15 seconds.
   
5. Listen for two “power-up” tones a couple of seconds apart. You can release the
   BIND and EJECT buttons after the second power-up tone.
6. The console should power up and take you directly to the Xbox Startup Troubleshooter.

To reset your console from the Xbox Startup Troubleshooter, use the D-pad and
A button on your controller to select Reset this Xbox. When prompted, select Keep my Games & apps.

Now i did a reset and i put in my info then ive been watching a spinning circle for an hour

My day One controller was problem free until a few months ago when I dropped it hard on one of the bumpers, my fault nothing to do with the controller. Replacement new controller was a sturdier build and was working perfectly. Had to replace console
so got an Elite model with the Elite controller and I can confirm it is Elite.
