    Hi i have a new xbox one s, kinect sensor & adaptor all bought this week. console works fine. Kinect Adaptor lights up ok which suggests it's working, but kinect sensor does not seem to power on when connected. Sensor also not being
    recognized by console- when i click on settings/kinect, the screen says to plug in kinect (but it's already plugged in).

    I've tried turning everything off/on, plugging kinect sensor usb into the all 3 ports on console, & nada. Thinking maybe the kinect sensor is faulty? Surely not as i only got it today?!!

    Microsoft buying back my Kinect?

    Indeed you just need an adapter. But the adapter is not available anymore. So in reality the Kinect is not working on a brand new Xbox One X.

    Hello, i'm from Italy (sorry for my english), i have buid the new xbox one s and i have the xbox one with kinect too...

    I read in a forum that i can have the adapter to use my kinect with my new xbox one s free... how can i have this free?

    Thanks Mister CiZl, after testing the console & sensor in store it looks like it's the adapter that's faulty! I'll see if i can get a replacement.

    Not all support issues can be fixed on the forums. Especially when it comes to something like a refund that would require more security.

    The kinect will work with the One X. You just need an adapter which is nothing new. The kinect has required an adapter since the One S was released in 2016.
    Indeed you just need an adapter. But the adapter is not available anymore. So in reality the Kinect is not working on a brand new Xbox One X.
