New Kinect Needs This

Ever since the first kinect came out for Xbox360 I thought to myself, "fantastic, I never have to spend 2 hours in a character creation screen trying to get my character to look just like me again." So I went out and bought the first kinect. Needlesss
to say it couldn't do that. I thought, "well it will probably be patched in later." Nope. And now the XboxOne is out with it's fancy new kinect and still nothing! I thought that it would just be the logical progression for kinect but now I'm thinking that
no one else thought of it! Please, Microsoft, make the kinect capable of putting my face on my character for games that allow aesthetic customization. The kinect can already put a full body representation of you into fitness programs, and many people have
modified the old kinects from Xbox360 to make detailed 3D models.

If you all agree then sound off and maybe this thread will be seen by the right person.

FYI Powerstar Golf just pushed through an update

oh I thought this implemented the kinect, ill hang back on this one, I have tried the kinect sports rivals demo and I think its brilliant showboat for the new kinect although I have not played the two player mode yet....need friends

How do I get my Xbox One to sign me in automatically without kinect?

I completely agree with this forum. We need the auto sign in without kinect. I bet the new kinect less xbox one will have it so they should just bring that to current owners.

Kinect Sports Rivals already does this. It's all about the tech which translates it into a game, most devs won't put in the time.

AVD has the right of it - ultimately, unless MS decides to push the tech, it'll be up to the individual developers and most of them aren't willing to put in the time and money for something with very little payoff.

However, there are choices - you can still use your avatar in many games, Kinect Sports Rivals works as AVD said, and there are even options on the Xbox 360, like the Rainbow Six Vegas or Fight Night series' of games - you can scan your face in there too.

As already mentioned, the tech is there but it's all down to the developer. It's been done in games before and now the technology has been improved to make it work even better but most developers would rather put their time in to improving the game than
the character customisation. As great as it is to have a character that is a little like you, it's even better when there's a game you actually want to play.

Even if the Xbox took your general facial features (which it already does for face recognition) it would ultimately come down to the developer to incorporate that image in to their game. This was essentially one of the features that was meant to be brought
along with avatars but the only games that use it (to my knowledge) are Guitar Hero and 1 vs 100 which no longer runs but was a built for Xbox and it's gimics sort of game anyway.

A new Kinect game would be awesome news for all the Kinect lovers! Voice commands and awesome games could be the slap in the face some need to plug it in.
