    New idea on Xbox overlaying.... please read


    Can we add a second hdmi port to the xbox so we can launch games to a second monitor so that we can keep the social feeds, friends, community, content, and dashboard open on the other? I know you can do this with the companion open on a pc as well but my set up would be way more clean if I could just add another monitor instead of having my PC next to it. Take out the overlays and just be able to switch between screens if you need to invite or post something or want to check out who is online. You would simply have to look to the right or left instead of overlaying the game and sometimes it crashes so on and so forth..

    I can definitely agree with your point. I see no reason that the overlay couldn't be transparent. Hopefully they'll run an Idea Drive about Mixer within the
    Xbox ideas website.

    I understand that, I'm just wondering if for some reason it will be required to be on, since the entire idea of the hmdi in/out feature is to include the use of the voice commands on the kinect, the new overlay, etc. I'm just not sure if being on will be

    I've disabled the overlay function and the game still does not launch. Any further ideas?

    I can also confirm that the game is not running in task manager.
