New hard drive, profile download

My xbox hard drive is corrupted. if i get a new hard drive and download my profile onto it what things will it download.

will it download the games saved on the console, eg minecraft?

If not will i be able to download everything again without buying it?

will it keep my progress on the games i have played on the old hard drive?

Apps not loading

contacted customer service..had 1 corrupted file....deleted it...cleared cache...deleted profile only....restarted console...downloaded profile again....then everything worked

to find the corrupted file...go to settings hard drive and look for each possible file...the corrupted file has a warning sign.
clearing cache - hard drive...press Y - did that 3 times

More than just a gaming console

Hi all, new to forum, need to ask about external hard drives. We have the slim 360 250gb model. Now say I am up to about level 5 in a game and I want to go to a mates place and he has the same game.

Will any external hard drive be able to be connected to the USB port on the back of my Xbox and the my profile or game level downloaded to the drive, then I can just take the drive to avmates place, plug in and play when he puts the game disk in. Will i still be on the same level and then when I return home, can I download the level I amat from my mates onto my hard drive.....

If so what external hard drive would be the best and if not what do you recommend.

Everything you've purchased can be redownloaded for free from your download history. If you can, you would need to try to save your game saves on a flash drive or something. It is not possible to recover game saves.

You don't have to format the hard drive for this to work, that code means that there's still a corrupt profile on the hard drive preventing a new one from being downloaded. You just need to delete the corrupted profile (profile only), and then download a
new version of the profile and you should be good to go.

Have you tried taking out the Hard drive and using a flashdrive and see if you can get your profile downloaded? If you can get your profile downloaded then i think you would need a new Hard Drive

Hey there Sodeskane! I understand you are having some trouble downloading your profile on your new console. You mention using your old Hard Drive, but did the new console come with a new Hard Drive? If so, try using that with the console and then download
your profile.

Also, do other profiles have issues when downloading to this new console? What about downloading your profile onto other consoles? Let me know if you can try that out and how it goes, thanks!

I was able to download the update via USB seems to have worked but hard drive still says unformatted, chose to format hard drive, now it is recognized, everything was cleared from hard drive. When I try to download profile it starts downloading then says
"sorry,Xbox LIVE profiles can't be downloaded right now. Try again later. 8007045D."

So angry. New games, time off, and an Xbox that won't work.
