    New Gold member did not get the announced "Gold" price on a game


    Hello everyone,

    Yesterday, I subscribed to Gold. There is now an offer at 1€ for the first month, I thought it was worth to try it.

    I subscribed, I paid (by Paypal), I received an email from paypal confirming the payment went through. One minute later, I received an email from Microsoft Store confirming I just subscribed to Gold. So, so far, no problem.

    Then I bought the game. Normal price was 69.99€ and "Gold" price was 28€

    I chose the game, I purchased it, I paid normally by Paypal, but when I receive the email from Paypal, it shows a payment of 69.99€ and not 28€ as it should have been.

    How can I claim a refund or the discount I didn't get please?

    I can't find a way to do it by email or phone.

    Can anyone help please ?

    More than a Rumor.....

    Well maybe they want it like the ps3 version. Some games will be the double price if you're not a gold member. If you're a gold member you will get the most games for half of the price (or actual price but they just make it more expensive so they can attract
    more gold members) maybe that's the thought behind.

    Sorry unfortunately Fable 3 is not free, it is at a special price for gold members only. But to get any gold member offer, you need to have a gold subscription. So unless you are a gold member you wont get it at the special price or even if it was free if
    you are only a silver member

    Thank you very much for your reply,

    Unfortunately, when I go on the support page (same link as the one you gave me), click on "billing", the only 2 options I have are the chat, but no one is online, and post on this forum.

    There is no phone number, email address whatsoever to get in touch with someone in charge of my problem at Microsoft.

    Any other idea before I call off the payment on Paypal please?

    It would be best for you to contact support and not Paypal. If you can post the region you're in, I can find a number, otherwise you'll need to wait for chat support.

    If you cancel a payment through Paypal instead of Xbox support, it can actually end up flagging your account and cause you to be banned for marketplace theft.
